I thought this might help all of us to track the process

Add us in please :)

You've been added. :) I've also updated my own details. My IV Fee Bill shows PAID today, so I've taken the AOS and DS-230 to the post office to be express mailed. They won't actually go out until Tuesday due to the holiday weekend, but at least this way I can't forget! :D

CHD you're our hero.

Looks like you're going to set a world record for in/out of NVC.

I bet you're going to have a great weekend, knowing that everything is all lined up.

Be safe, and have a cold glass of something from all of us watching your smoke trail.

Well, NVC doesn't have your case from USCIS. There is nothing that you can do till Tuesday and start calling the NVC number and find out when they will receive it.

What you can do for yourself is to make sure you have prepared all necessary documents requiered and they are ready to be shipped out when their time come. Fill out all the forms and have them signed. You can make a folder for every form and all supporting documents and then you should be ready to file as soon as they start your process and generate your paper work.

Good Luck

While it is great that you guys hear good things about your case, but this three days are the most boring days of my life. I wish NVC was open and at least I could bug them a bit. I'm sure last weekend was the boring weekend for your guys. Eventhough I have been living by myself for the last four years and I am not still used to this. US should change spouses immigration rules specially if you have been living seperated for more than two years they should totally do something. (Sure in my dreams)

Happy boring days.

We had lots of activity this weekend.

Her - received K-3 package...will try to set interview date in Oct. (which we hope to change to CR-1 interview)

Her - made appointment for medical.

Him - received AOS Fee Bill (already paid online including IV Fee Bill).

If we can just get the AOS and IV packages out...things will be great.

So.....anyone wondering if it's a good idea to pursue the K-3 and CR-1 at the same time..."hell to the yes".

In our situation, everything has been paid, but because we're waiting for the Police Clearance Certificate, there's

no way we'll be able to send in the IV package until at least Sept. 13th (meaning it will arrive express on the 15th).

Speculating that it will take 5 to 10 days for review of the DS-230, we would be past the typical schedule window for the following month.

*They seam to schedule between the 15th and 20th for the following month's interviews.

So THAT means that if we wait for NVC to set the appointment after case complete, we're probably looking at November at the erliest.

Since we have the K-3 package ready to go (but we're not really going to use it) we can go ahead and reserve an Oct. interview date.

Hope everyone had a safe and joyous holiday.

Hi Im a lil stuck & would appreciate help.

Ive looked at Loto's guidance but Im not exactly clear about this. Ive got my NVC case number but they wont give me the IIN number. I guess this means I have to wait for the hardcopy to proceed with fee payment? However can I send the DS-3032 email before we get/pay the bill?

Sorry I know this is probably a stupid question, but Im being careful as Im aware we should not be sending things to NVC before they request it.

They usually do give you a hard time when you call for the IIN. It took me 8 tries to get it, and took Ling Ling over 30, I believe. You just have to keep calling and calling and calling until someone gives it to you. When you call simply ask for your invoice identification number. When they tell you the online payment system isn't working/open to the public/whatever, tell them you know this but just want the number for your records. If they says they're not allowed/able to give it to you, or that its not generated yet, don't argue (it won't get you anywhere). Just thank them, hang up, and try again.

The DS-3032 can be sent in as soon as its generated. You do not need to wait for the hard copy, or for the AOS fee bill to be paid. You can either email it per Loto's guide, or mail it per James' Shortcuts. To mail it you will need to generate a barcode to stick on the form in the appropriate place. If you absolutely can't get the IIN, then you can also generate an AOS Fee Bill using James' Shortcuts to send in right away, rather than waiting for it to arrive in the mail if you want.
