Pretty sad! It was our first time to use Ebay and it looked good with the sellers ratings and store. We bought 2 high priced items on August 16th, paid with PayPal and the sellers account received it on Wednesday Aug 20th. . . No word from the seller about anything! Adam even tried to call them today but only got the sellers store answer machine and then this evening I find that they have 5 bad reviews dated from yesterday and today saying the buyers never received their products they paid for! I immediately called Ebay customer service bcz I was soooo upset... I am feeling like something is not normal and possibly a scam. Ebay Customer Svc said they will handle it but could take up to 10 days. I just want our money back now and never use Ebay again. Im sad!

I am so sorry to hear this. I read that you purchase two laptop computers for 1,500 each or something like that. That is terrible if you got scammed!

One of my friends once used Ebay and they purchased a leather jacket. It took almost 2 months before she got the thing.

yes! and there is no reason in my mind why the seller could not have let any of us know that they were going to ship the item or not... huge lack of communication which makes me feel like a scam... this was my first time to use Ebay and now my last... once trust is broken... its nearly impossible to gain it back.

Im so sorry this happened to u!! actually i ve seen on judge Judy someone sueing a seller on ebay for paying for a cell fone n instead she got a picture of cell fone!!!! crazy ppl out there!! again im so sorry and i hope customer service do handle it n get ur money back!! i bet everyone here will keep in mind never to use ebay ever again!

I am really so sorry to hear that you are going through this!! I hope that you get an answer back ASAP. I have Ebayed for a while but the few times I've had problems they were typically fast to fix it and I really do hope that's the case for you guys!!

My Aunt and Uncle fell victim to a big scam.. Involving Ebay and a car they were selling.. I have news article links to it.. They fought them .. Ebay, the bank, etc and did win..

I am praying that you get the best results!! Either call backs and shipment of your items or resolve from Ebay ASAP!!!

I can totally understand your frustration. Im a seller on Ebay and Im getting some serious crapola from a buyer. She bid on my auction and never paid. I emailed her 4 times and finally had to file a complaint with eBay. When eBay went hunting her down, she said she wanted another 2 weeks to pay. I said no (twice). Well guess what? Last night she paid (almost 3 weeks late), and today she sent 2 snotty emails complaining about when was I going to ship and why isnt she allowed to bid on my other auctions. I fixed her wagon though. Refunded her money and deducted all the fees I was charged. Snit.

Anywho, Im sorry you got the shaft. The people you want to talk to are PayPal. If Im not mistaken, you should have a built-in protection policy on PayPal purchases. Also, go to the dispute console on eBay and file a report.

Tamara! OMG so sorry to hear that.

We use Ebay ALL the time and I have never had an issue. We have purchased all the way from Japan (video games..my hubby is an addict..LOL) and even a mobile phone. Always great results. I even buy the twins things off Ebay.

Don't worry...I have had great experience with Ebay customer service. I hope you get your situation resolved. One time I had an issue like this and I never got a response from the seller...Turned out her brother died. She was gone 10 days and finally when she returned...sent all her products out. So hoping this might be the problem...maybe family issues or something! *fingers crossed*

Start with those links. They should help you. eBay isnt really going to be much help when the seller screwed you over because its an independent transaction. eBay cannot refund your money, but if you file a report and go through the Dispute Console the seller can be punished. Especially if everyone who got shafted gets on the bandwagon and files. You may want to contact the other buyers who got robbed and see how they are handling their loss and actions they have taken. You should be able to send them a message just by clicking on their username from the feedback listings for Mr. Evil Seller.

PayPal are the peeps who can help you get back your money. Ive never had to request a refund, so Im not sure how that works. But the link I posted should get you going in the right direction. Check out their Buyer's Protection Policy.

I guess on a good note, Adam received his Welcome to America letter and it also stated that he will receive his GC within 3 weeks or less. That is very exciting & a huge relief!

Last night I finally colored my hair and yes its burgandy, dark burgandy. I need to post a new picture of me bcz now I have my wedding ring and a new hair color!

If I dont hear anything by Monday, do I do anything else? I already filed a claim with Paypal.

I have over 100 purchases on ebay (mostly books) and have never had a bad experience. My daughter sells on ebay (its her part-time job) and she is a very conscientious seller.

I hope you get resolve, but to blame ebay may not be fair.

One time my bank let some atm numbers get out and someone used my number to buy some things on ebay ...like a $100 wallet. I contacted paypal immediately and my bank --and they both worked hand in hand to get my $100 back into my account.

Hi! So sorry to hear about this. But my fiance' been buying form Ebay and got no problem with it. Even my Wedding gown and accesories and other things to be used on our wedding was from Ebay... Hope you'll hear from them soon.

The sellers guide on Ebay says if someone pays through Paypal there is no need to email an invoice, so its possible possible that the sellers are shipping it or will ship it soon. We've bought a digital camera and some phones and stuff on Ebay and it was always ok, but certainly some more timely than others. I think for one of the transactions we waited several days - maybe even a couple of weeks, but our purchases always showed up. I've always paid attention to the ratings and reviews of sellers, so its troubling that some other bad reviews are just now showing up but dont give up all hope yet!
