Huckabee: "I have no fear to go to Israel ... I felt more fear in American cities"

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, mentioned as a possible running mate for presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain, yesterday said he feels safer in Israel than in American cities.

...

When asked about security in the violence-plagued country, Huckabee - who ran for president before bowing out in March - said he was not worried.

"I have no fear to go to Israel," Huckabee said before boarding a plane at Kennedy Airport.

"I felt more fear in American cities. I can walk down the streets of Tel Aviv at night without a problem."

He speaks the truth.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

I have been to Israel and felt safer there. Crime is not as pervasive as the US. Facts are facts.

why do you hate America?

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

My husband says the same. It's much safer in Israel than in America. He also said that you need to live in that country to understand it and to love it.

I like these words

I do too... however that doesn't seem to ring true for some folks.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

He does speak the truth. The majority of American inner cities have become no go zones at night. I think a lot of Americans assume that no-go zones and ghettos are the norm around the world. Well maybe in 3rd world countries but certainly not in most developed nations.

When I was younger I roamed many cities overseas at night, while drunk, going from one club to another and never had any issues. Taking short cuts through alley ways etc. Whereas I would not be caught dead doing the same here.

Pretty much every single night there is a shooting, or two, in DC alone. Whenever the police try to do something about it the good old ALCU comes to the rescue stating how this and that is some how unconstitutional. D--b C---s.. People being able to live without fear of losing their life is not important to them but God forbid somebody's "rights" are so-called threatened.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

And you know why. In Israel the police have the power. Can you imagine Israel had an ACLU who was more concerned about peoples' freedom to actually being able to move around without the prospect of being blown up. That is, allowing the police to do their job and catch the bad guys.

Whereas in America the criminals have all of the power. Any attempt to proactively prevent crime, as is the case in most other OECD nations, is rebutted by the ACLU as being "unconstitutional". The ALCU in places like Israel would probably be shut down with the founders arrested on the grounds of stupidity and promoting moronic behavior.
