I can't figure out what to do with my college degree. I have an Associate of Arts in Humanities and with one class will have an ###. of Science in Social Sciences.

I also am a senior in college now and majoring in Criminal Justice(a good program). Anyways, I have basically finished with my major just have a few core classes I need to finsih. I dont want to be a cop or prison guard, but I was thinking more along the lines of a government social worker type job. Or, being an immigration caseworker. Lately I am freaking out that a degree in CJ is not worth much...that really scared me so I want to do a double major now and minor in Sociology. I would like to work in immigration as a case worker or at an embassy or consulate, even a government job would make me happy like working at the passport office. My question is I am getting a BA in Criminal Justice and _____ with a minor in Sociology. Should I do my other major in history, poli sci, english? What is going to help me get a job with the government making the most money? I realy need help, I just don't want to be a cop or prison guard; I want to be more on the social work end. I am more interested in humanities and culture than science or aggressive type work. Any advice?

I'd go onto the hiring sites for those agencies and see what they are requiring. I know with immigration officers, jobs are posted online. Just do a google search.

Social work is a good degree to have, gives you more room to move in all kinds of directions. I worked with juvenile offenders, and will move on to something different when I get my masters. I also have computer science and business degree, those two are also good and way more money.

Unless you want to get certified to teach k-12, I strongly recommend against those 3. You can't get hired for any specialized jobs. The ones that take those degrees are highly competitive. Take it from someone who didn't know what else to do with her first degree (history) and ended up teaching... and quit. :P

Sorry, I don't know if you're the immigrating spouse or not, but for many of those jobs you're talking about, you'd have to be a US Citizen for. Just thought I'd mention in case that impacts on what route you choose to take in studies.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

When I graduated after my fifth year, I had to be dragged away from college. I wanted to stay there another five years
