Bummed

Now that the time for the move is fast approaching Casey is not sure he can come here to move with me. I was really looking forward to having him here to help me pack and do the long drive from Sask to AZ.

I did it last summer, just my kids and I...it was fun but I don't want to do it again.

We were not sure exactly when this would happen and he was invited to go on a trip to Costa Rica the beginning of June so now his vacation days are low. This sucks.

I can totally understand you being bummed about this Cristy, that's a long long way. Plus I had to call in 2 friends to help me pack the last 2 days when I got totally overwhelmed, and that was just me moving!

I know that is the reward, and the drive is nice. I just wanted to do it with him. Not to mention getting some laundry done a few days earlier lol

Seems to me to be a matter of priorities. Why take the time for personal vacation when he has the chance to take the time to help you and your kids settle in? What am I missing?

Yeah unfortunatley the trip was planned months back and I told him to go, it is a once in a lifetime trip. We just did not know how fast this would happen and I did not want him to miss out on the trip.

I totally understand Cristy. I may be in the same boat with my Darcy. He will be moving from Winnipeg, MB to Ohio and I was hoping to go to help. Now with finances and who knows when we will get processed, I may not have enough time to take off for the interview or the move. I am totally bummed myself.
