I'm only slightly embarrassed to admit that I kissed it :lol:

How long should I wait for the USCIS verification system to catch up before I go to Social Security? My wife has a day off next Friday, do you think that will be long enough for my status to be updated in their system?

So me and my wife had our interview this morning.

It was scheduled for 10 AM and we had to wait till 10:30 to get called.

Both of us are russians and we managed to get a russian-speaking immigration officer!!! which didn't help us a little bit.

He asked us all the standard questions from the application and asked for pictures and documents together. Most of the 30 minutes in his office we were silently watching him going through some paperwork, making notes and remarks.

At the end he welcomed me to the US and wished us a good day.

Hey folks,

It's hard to keep track of it in this long thread, but are there any CSC transferees that got a "touch" on 1/12/2009 and who recently got approved ? I'm still waiting for something to happen with my case.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Daniel

So, from this, I think it means that we have to do the medical over with a Civil Surgeon over here cause they lost the paperwork that we handed in at JFK. I wonder if our health insurance will pay for this exam cause a lot of people have said the exam is extremely expensive. I have to get it all completed by March 12th. That must also mean the X-rays and lab work that was done in Ghana. We have the immunication card from the clinic in Ghana, so hopefully no vaccinations. We wouldn't be able to get that done by March. Mo' money Mo' money Mo' money!

You do not have a copy of the vacination record from the medical that was done before the interview at the embassy?

If you have that you can contact Dr Arnold and send it to him and have your medical doctor send record of the shots you were missing. Dr Arnold will then send back a sealed I-693 and an unsealed one as well. All it cost us was $20 for Dr Arnold, and the shots from Charry's doctor were covered on insurance.

The husband of a friend of Charry's was charged like $600+ for a Civil Surgeon visit, and no the insurance does not cover it.

We did all the stuff through Dr. Arnold when we submitted the original AOS app. They lost everything, so we have to do it all again. I spoke to the CS office here and they said between $100 and $500. We don't have to do the immunizations over because we have the proof from the CS in Ghana. Just the labs, TB and physical.

Dear fendergirl,

Could you tell me which number you called to check your status?

Thanks a lot!!!

1 800 375 – 5283 and press 3 and then 1, but u have to be lucky to speak with a rep that knows what they are talking about, I have called many times but ended up hanging the phone since I felt like wasting my time listening to some script that some reps read.. I got the best one yesterday and she was pretty helpful with all my query. Goodluck

They being the Gov't or they being Dr Arnold? Cause I'm sure Dr Arnold would reprint the doc if you need it. Not sure if they would bill for it thou.

just give them the latest one you have
