I, for one, feel sorry for her. I know she made her own bed, etc., but I think she was so excited by having a chance with this man that millions of women wanted to be with (until they found out how weird he is), and then got wrapped up in the whirlwind of new love, the press, etc. By the time she started figuring out how things were really going to be, she was pregnant with his child. Since that probably gave her all kinds of conflicting feelings due to her religious upbringing, she probably decided to make the best of it and stick it out. Now, she's got a new baby, a fiance who is always off promoting his movies and telling everyone how great things are, and she probably feels like ####### and has no one to talk to about it.

Up until the Tom Cruise thing, I always heard she was a sweet girl. I hope she ends up happy.

Yes she was just goo goo over the fact of who he was and thought wow he likes me I cant pass this up. Tom acts as if they are the perfect family and no one has that and hes whacked anyhow so the image he is projecting is so fake. It wont last no time. Its Hollywood so they swap partners like its nothing. He wanted a young thing to have control over.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Choosing a mate based on having a crush on them when you were pre pubescent isn't always a smart idea.

Besides which, has she never heard of BIRTH CONTROL?????????

Or would she only know about it now that she is KATE, a woman? *insert vomit emote now*

Did I say I was a doctor..NO! You cant tell me she isnt insane. Depression is one thing but to chase your kids down and drown them 1 by 1 constitutes being insane to me.

being insane,..is a legal term not psychological...or medical

To correct you slightly, the psychological/medical basis for being classified 'insane' isn't set in stone either.

true...the term insane appears no where is diagnosis standards..but is a legal term used for deluisonal psychosis mainly..some states do not accept this as a defense for a crime...and the proof is on the defendant....i worked with allot of gmi in kansas..guilty but mentally insane ....they were usually have psychosis as ther diagnosis...

That's the point though isn't it - you can diagnose a medical condition (based on a real, observable and physical ailment) that causes mental impairment. That's different to reaching a judgement based on behaviour alone - psychology is pseudo-scientific.

hmm. i think psychology is based a statistical average that is observed and documented over periods of time..more empirical and not a define science at all..as now we are on the DSMIV...but unlike tom cruisesays, it is relevant and proven over time ....

Well Tom Cruise cannot offer anything other than an unqualified opinion, so certainly I agree. Not to dismiss the benefits of psychiatry, its clearly not without merit, but I don't think its purely empirical in the same way as the conventional sciences, or conventional medicine for that matter.

As I see it, psychiatry is more about a consensus of subjective opinion rather than anything that can be measured conventionally in the scientific tradition.

don't totally disagree on that at all..it is a collection of certain observed or reported behaviors..thoughts or patterns...that fit a description of a pattern..some is organic in nateure...and some genetic in nature 9 bi-polar is chemical )
