I need my A/C...this is Florida after all. :P It's never warmer than 77F in the house, most of the day at 75F and at night 73-74F. But I do love Walmart for the prices! My husband, from India, is the one who is even more frugal than me. But we both kinda are.

We used to shop at WalMart a lot more in the past. Lately they're not as cheap anymore and the conditions of the stores have really deteriorated...

well all the Walmarts I have been to around here have been nice..

I always feel weird going to Target... it feels to uppity and snobby in there ... *shrugs*

That's what happens when you live in Jersey...walmart is still pretty nice around here.

Our local Target doesn't have the full grocery section, just a small section with basic needs that they added a couple years ago. Even so, I have noticed the prices at Target are more than at Walmart(for food). Yesterday I went to Publix(a nice grocery store here) b/c it's only 2 miles away instead of both Walmarts in our town that are each 6 miles away. But I probably spent at least $5-8 more total on the same stuff I would have gotten at Walmart for less. That's on a $37 bill. So we try to do most of our grocery shopping at Walmart.

I love Target for other things. They have fun baby stuff and prices for those kinds of things are not much different than Walmart.

Sometimes my family looks at me like I have two heads because *gasp* I don't buy my meats and produce there!

Yeah - I only ever buy a basket of stuff from there. There are people who go there will fill up an entire shopping cart. God knows how much that must cost...

Our local Target doesn't have the riff-raff in it that the Walmart's do. When you live in a mediocre part of Jersey, you want to avoid the riff-raff where-ever possible. Unfortunately we still have to deal with checkers who pick their ears and stare slack-jawed and vacant into the middle-distance - forcing you to snap your fingers before their eyes to get their attention ;)

Must be tough for the slack jawed staring checkers as well to have to put up with finger snapping rude customers and smile while they do it.
