Hey everyone,

We just got finished with our interview and we were told that we would receive thier decision in the mail in within a month. So What Does This Mean???

So here's how it went:

We got there 30 min early and were called back 5 min after we sat down, we had a nice, but serious white 40 or so year old male named Ron and he led us to his office, swore us in and asked for interview appointment letter, our IDs and my husband's passport. *(he NEVER asked for the EAD, EVER???) He asked me to verify all my info, address, etc, and same for my husband. He asked questions to verify the info on the forms, he asked if we filled them out ourselves and I said I did. He then asked my husband all the "no" questions, and preceeded to ask if we had any more marriage proof that we wanted to add to his file (we sent in affidavits, bank account, tax return, and lease showing we live with my parents) he took a sample check that I voided, and a paper where we opened our checking account, more bank statements, that was it, we sent copies of pictures so he said he didn't need to see our picture album even though we offered it twice. He asked how we met, I let my husband answer these, he said in high school, and gave a long story about having a crush this year, and dating this year, he asked how long we've known each other, I told him about 6 to 7 years. And then..... he asks my husband when did we decide to get married, my husband froze up lol (he told me afterwards he didn't understand exactly what he meant) He started studdering (he was so nervous) and saying who knows what for about 30 or more seconds and I finally said he means our engagment, and I told the officer soory he is nervous and I said we got engaged July 26, last year on my Birthday, he just kept on marking and stamping stuff. I forgot to write this but, after the "no" questions to my husband, the man started explaining to us the conditional greencard and removal of conditions "if" you're approved, he said.... But he took our ids, and some other stuff and made copies of it, hole punched everything and put in the folder.... closed the folder and sat it in the middle of his desktop and said that he would look over this and that we would receive a decision in the mail in about a month.... And we left... That was it

So... my husband is all worried, he is asleep right here beside me right now and poor thing he thinks that him studdering about the "when did you decide to get married" made it bad.

So, what does this sound like, do they explain the removal of conditions always? They didn't take his EAD, but they took his I94 out of his passport, and he explained the removal of conditions, so could we have another interview? And would he have said something if he knew he was gonna give us another interview?

Thanks everyone! And your comments are appreciated! Pray for us

And about what they said, it means that you will be receiving a letter stating whether they approved you, denied you or you need to submit more information or you will get a 2nd interview. Most likely you will be approved since he took everything, and maybe he needed to just run it through his supervisor to know his opinion. (I said MAYBE, so don't take my word for granted, it is just up to Uncle Sam ;) ) gdalicia, another member from Mexico, had to go to a 2nd interview since they needed to double check a few things and got approved, in case this happens you might want to contact him/her to give you some feedback.

Good luck and keep us posted

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. We had our interview on June 23rd, and at the end we were asked to mail in some more information. The information was received on July 3rd, but we have not heard anything yet. Don't worry I'm sure you will be fine. I think its a good sign that he took the I-94. I was asked for mine but I had misplaced it and didn't have time to file for a replacement.

I'm trying to be positive and patient. I trust everything will work out well, and I hope the same for you.

Good Luck
