I am so very excited about the election this year. I have been a citizen since Sept. 11 of 2001. I remember that day so clearly, I was headed to San. Francisco to get sworn in, When I woke up I could not keep my eyes off the twin towers going down in New York. My heart sank to the floor as I thought of all the people I knew in New York as well as the people I did not know and their families. Yes 9/11 changed my life in ways, one was a great day because I was now a citizen and I knew with that I could take advantage of my choices, the other was what great responsibility I was now going to have to this great country. I had live in America since the 90s I was only a little girl, but as most kids that grow up here in a well cared for home; I took advantage of what I had until that day.

Yes America was crippled with fear n that day, however we let the Republican Party keep us crippled for another 8 years after that day, how could a strong nation like this be brought to our feet that we have given up the right to fight for what we believe in. I voted against the Republicans the last election and I plan on voting for Barack Obama this year. I have the power to be in control of my life this year. Obama stands for change for making the world a better place, I want to be proud of the country I live in when I travel around the world and people mention America. When I was a little girl living in Jamaica, I thought of America as a land of great opportunity, so far within the last 8 years that has slipped away. First of all I am a Jamaican American and that stands for seeing beyond fear.

People we have our citizenship we are fighting everyday for our husbands, wives, kids, parents, siblings to come be a part of the country, don't you want it to be a country where they will have dreams that come true, and the door of opportunity is always there, somewhere where they decide their future based on what they think it should be and not out of fear. People this is the Year to decide that we are not going to decide out of fear, but out of choice and confident in change. I believe in Change I believe in Barack Obama for President.

What is the definition of insanity, "doing the something over and over again and expecting different results?" Are we insane America? Or are we ready to try something different?

I'm ready for a change.

I'm just not 100% sure he will fulfill all my hopes. I'm not 100% sure anyone will, though.

I do think it's time he is given the chance to try.

Racist, hmmm what a crazy word what does it mean to be racist. I did not even know what that meant until I move to America; I did not really get it until I went to high school. When I came to America I went to school with all white kids, the only black family was mine and we were from another country. I was treated great and with respect. It high schools I ran into 2 comments but other than that I think all people are good people. I believe being racist is just being afraid you would really like that other race if you got to know them. Put a bunch of kids of all different backgrounds, race and culture and look what happens, they won’t see color I promise you that. Racism was fear that was taught by generations and some peoples mind will never change, however why let a small bunch of people let a whole world of people down.

I had some psycho co-workers making comments about him at work tonight...I never knew one was racist until that moment...:(

...I'm still disturbed by it.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
