Happy Anniversary! Hope Im not too late for the wishes!!! :star: (F)

Also, I got a question about blood pressure being high... Last night while Adam was working he got a bit dizzy and his head was bothering him but not with a headache. He works 10pm to 7am so this was about 230am on his one hour break that he called me so I told him to go check his blood pressure... it was 142/67. Then he talked to his manager about going home bcz he was feeling more dizzy. WHen I picked him up I had him do another test... this was about 15 30 minutes after the first test. It was 146/87 with a heartbeat of 90+ which to me seems like high blood pressure. So I bought some apple cider vinegar and we went home. I had him take a tablespoon of that with a glass of water and then he slept. Now, when he woke up his head is hot and still bothering him and I had him take the apple cider vinegar again and we will go check his blood pressure at walmart again. Does anyone have any other ideas of what to do .... im really trying to go natural so he dont have to spend at least $100 at a doc with no insurance!

Well the down factors are that he smokes and too much IMHO, loves salty foods, been drinking cokes, and working over night and probably not eating right too. SOOOO, first thing I did was the apple cider vinegar for him to drink. I will buy orange juice for him to bring to work late at night, bananas with potassium and cherrios (hopefully he will eat them) and pray hard that he reduces his smoking! and less salt!

yes the combination could do it, i know if im up to many nights in a row, stress, and always the eating wrong things will do it, but i am on a daily medication (this is bad in our family) so just moniter and if needed take this one little pill each day. (i wouldnt trust those outside machines to well) lots of things have the (hidden) salt factor

Continue to monitor his blood pressure in the next few hours......if the readings don't go lower and if he continues to feel dizzy or if he starts getting a fever or any other symptoms......don't wait.......I know it stinks to have to seek medical care w/out insurance but, you shouldn't take any chances when it comes to these things.

I hope he gets better.

Definitely don't take chances when it comes to blood pressure. That's the heart thats having issues when the pressure drops.

It looks like his pressure dropped and he possibly had low blood sugar as well. (does he eat at work? and if so, what does he eat when there. AND how long does he go between meals?)

It could be that if his pressure was low and suddenly spiked, that can cause a headache/dizziness/nausea/etc etc.

I'd recommend checking his blood pressure every 2 hours (alternating arms each time) and document how it fluctuates. The normal readings used to be 120/70 but due to the rise in obesity they have increased the "normal" to 120/80. Each person has their own "normal" though so keep close watch on him and check how he is feeling with each reading.

I hope all is ok ensha'allah
