Copy of passport (old or new0

Hi everyone,

My wife has her J-1 visa on her old passport, she renewed her passport since 2005. The new passport has her name change to married name keeping her own last name and adding mine. My question is this: when I file, should I send copies of both passports or just the passport that has the visa on it? which is expired but her country's embassy mailed her both passports since the visa is on the old one which is canceled.

Well certainly you need to provide the copy of the visa page... I don't recall needing the ID page.

Send the photocopy of biographic page of the new one and the copies of the non-immigrant visas she may have.

I had my B2 visa (under which I came to the US) in my old passeport and the stamp on the new one. I sent copies of both passeports pages. And I made copies of the ID pages on each one because my passeport number changed from one to the other. I figured it woul make it easier for them to know it was really mine.
