ALL DONE!!! Interview started at 12:35. I was scheduled for 12:30. I bs'd with the officer a little bit before we started. He made me swear to tell the whole truth....Started of by going through my entire N-400, asked me about the same things that were on the application. Then went inot the Yes/ No question and answers. Finally asked me what book did I study from, Blue or Red. Is stated the old book. He then pulled out a form and begin asking me the questions. They were very simple questions. Asked me to read a line and the write a statement. Was done in 20 mins. Told me I had passed my interview and that I would be hearing from them shortly by mail about my oath ceremony. He stated he had approved me and then handed me the letter. He told me to relax and wait for the letter as I had asked how long would it take. He also stated that he had approved me so not to worry. =0) Good experience. IO was a civil dude.

The only document I had to give them was my SSS or proof of registration with Selective Service as I did not submit it when I sent in my application.

Congratulation, rclouse

It's wonderful gift from up high!

But she may need to come out ASAP.

Otherwise a lot of people will forget about her birthday party because of coming christmas.

Actually I know somebody who has birthday at December 24 or 25, so nobody remember her birthday any more.

She just get christmas gift.

Cristina is a citizen! The Oathtaking Ceremony was scheduled for 11:30 a.m. today. It was at the Federal District Court in Lincoln, Nebraska, only blocks from our home! It took about 2 hours and she was part of a group of 38.

The judge's remarks were outstanding, emphasizing that most American born citizens have roots in immigrants who came here years ago. They are the ones who built our country into what it is today.

Done with Homeland Security for good! And relieved! And happy!

Hey NYCGAL,

What happened?

Are you celebrating with champaigne ?

Let us know how it went.

Hey moonhunt and everyone!!

You were right! I was out on Thursday night celebrating!

(And working all day yesterday so no time to write!)

I passed!

My experience was really good.

I arrived at Federal Plaza at 7:20 for 7:50 apt. I was nervous but calmed down when I aw all the others in the same position. I met really nice people there .

At about 8:50 I was ushered into a room with one other lady away from the main room and into one with lots of children and their parents.

I was wondering why I was there as I was the only one with no kids.

After about a half an hour there, out comes the guy who called my name. He brought me through an open plan office to his personal office in the back.

His title was "Adjudications Officer".

He was very serious. Put me under oath and then started off with tests, then went through all the application. He was extremely thorough. He was very familiar with my background and very professional.

At the end - he said "You passed" and was very nice to me - smiled etc..He had an Irish first name so I asked him if he had Irish roots and he said he didn't think so! I told him it was a great day for me and he said I could wait for my oath letter. I said when will the oath be and he said "maybe the end of the month".

That would have been too good to be true but yes! After waiting about three hours - I was given my letter with the date of December 22 at Federal Plaza.

I'm over the moon!

Thank you for this thread everyone - It has been great to have it. Thank you Moonhunt for everything! :star:
