Has any US citizen who was Naturalized and sponsoring a spouse back to the US been required to show a copy of their Naturalization Certificate or was their US Passport proof enough?

six of one ... half dozen of the other... both convey that the holder is amongst other things... a USC.

It doesn't hurt if you mail the copies of both!

I can send the Naturalisation Certificate but don't want to get into that because they made a mistake on it. It says that my former citizenship was from France instead of New Zealand. I don't want to deal with that problem right now.

They were really lame down at INS. It was the second mistake that they made. The first certificate said that I was from French Polynesia when they let me see it in their offices to check it, a week or two before the ceremony. I told them it was a mistake and should say New Zealand and I signed for another one that was to be given to me at the ceremony. I didn't realise that they would then write "France" on the next one and thereby make another mistake until a day or two later. At that point I was afraid to go back there again!

To see the stamps on all pages I think. I have the jumbo 48 pg passport which is a real pain to copy so many times. But for some reason all my Ukraine stamps were put on the last few pages.

4. Copy of the full Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport. This is used to establish citizenship.

hmm.. but then if you have already submitted proof of citizenship when you filed the I-130 or I-129F, then there's really no need to send these again, but it won't hurt..

I filed the whole passport because I only have a one sided copy of my birth certificate. It is the copy from the County dept of records, I never had the original. So being overly cautious I decided to go for the jumbo pack of passport pages to avoid any possible RFEs.

since i didn't have a passport then, i just sent in my naturalization certificate..

rather be safe than sorry.. i would have copied my ENTIRE passport too if that was the only thing i have to show

I send mine both, All pages of my Passport and a copy of US naturilization certificate. Nothing too hard copying passport pages.

hi MOLEN, i was just looking at your timeline.. it really took 5 months for your case to be completed at NVC?? sheesh!! at least for the interview, only a month..
