Hi Visa journey,

I received my biometrics appointment last week and already mailed a re-scheduling request since it will be conflicting to my seminar.

How long do you think before I can get a new biometrics appointment? Do you think it will take longer for them to give me a new appointment date.

I filed my I751 to TSC/VSC, got NOA1 after 10 days of receipt, Biometrics appointment 2 weeks after that..

I was wondering if this will delay the process of my applications..

Any advice is very much appreciated. Thanks!

I had to request a rescheduled biometrics during the AOS process since they scheduled it the day before our return flight from Christmas holidays. It was rescheduled for about a month later. I had 10 days warning before the first biometrics and 2 weeks for the second date. Good luck.

Kathryn41,

To re schedule the AOS biometrics, did that require an infopass? How does one go about this?

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

The biometrics letter had a statement on it that said something to the effect that if you cannot make this appointment please return the letter with the date when you are available to reschedule the appointment. I put down the date after our flight returned, enclosed a copy of our flight schedule showing the booking date and tickets, then actually hand-delivered it to the ASC to ensure that they got it since our flight was due to leave the following day and it was around Christmas time, so I didn't want it to get delayed in the mail as the appointment was scheduled for December 26. I believe you can also reschedule a biometrics appointment through the 1-800 line - at least you used to be able to - so I assume you still can. It didn't require an INFOPASS appointment, no. They rescheduled me to February 2 and I received a new date with a big 'RESCHEDULED" written at the top of the new biometrics letter.

They accept walk-ins on Wends. I did it that way without re-sheduling; a few people here on this forum did the same without the problem. When I got the biometrics letter, my lawyer send me a letter stating that I dont have to reschedule if cannot make that day and that I have 90 days to make biometrics on any Wend.

If you are nervious about missing appointment, you can go earlier on Wend. Some people on this forum made it earlier due to travel on scheduled day. In any case, if you re-shedule for the later day, I dont think that it is going to delay the process since CIS goes by NOA1 day.

Thanks to the replies!

Ok. Maybe I will try to go to ASC District here in Jacksonville this coming Wednesday since my appointment date for biometrics is scheduled for Fri, 27th.

I am hoping they can do my fingerprinting on the spot just like what others experienced.

My only problem is that.. I've already mailed the original bio appointment to them.. I just have a copy of it.. do you think it will be ok?

I appreciate all of your help. :)

We had to do that too, on a Wednesday at noon, was told to check first to see if it was any kind of holiday the USCIS gets off but the rest of us don't. Would be nice if we could mutually agree on an appointment day, also would be nice if we didn't have anything else to do, like earn a living, so we are free to go whenever they say so.
