"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

I have an Acer 4520 laptop that I got for $520.00 with a Canon Printer. I just need to spend another 225 or so for a better battery and 3 more gigs of memory It's not bad at all for the price though. I would recommend Acer products (so far). I got it at Staples. They just sent me an email earlier. Here is a clearance deal they have on a desktop:

$445.00

ZT Affinity 5014ZI-33 Desktop PC with 19" Wide LCD Monitor

33 Desktop PC

* Intel® Pentium® E2160 Dual Core (1.80Ghz)Processor

* 1GB installed memory

* 320GB Hard drive

* SuperMulti DVD Burner

* 15-in-1 memory card reader

* Includes 19" LCD monitor

* Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium

* 1 year warranty

I have an Acer Aspire.. it seems to be a pretty good computer... I have had it for almost a year now..

although you might want to uninstall some of the ACER features as they are unnecessary and they just slow down your computer...

Someone needs to talk some sense into me...

I'm thinking about getting a Mac...

if i could afford it. i would.....that should scare ya enough. :)

modesty aside... price is not that bad with the discounts I can get...

obviously not as much with some pc deals... but I do not like Vista all that much and XP is almost out of service range.

(moves head to avoid charles' hammer)

I wouldn't get a Mac - you have to buy all new software.

licensing discounts... BIG...

$35 for full Office for Mac, etc... not that bad and it would be mine and legit.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Get a MacIntel stick VM Ware Fusion on it and run XP again if you need it!.. If I had the cash I'd grab a Mac.. but right now the only Mac I'll be grabbing will be a Big Mac!!.. stupid removal of conditions.. :crying: You could always go this route... :o

Say NO to Mac clone! :lol:

(I heard that there's no proof they even exist...)

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
