For the record, SMOKE, in that thread you linked to I was referring to a certain group of Filipinas; not ALL Filipinas. You know which ones I'm referring to.

As for me being prejudiced against Filipina(o)s, that would be pretty hard, since my best friend and past roommate of 7 years is Filipino.

umm actually it started with a poll that nessa started about allcaps

I think both parties are in the wrong here... you can't constantly poke at someone and not expect them to poke back... *shrugs*

It all started with one person having a seizure-inducing image in her siggy. It was commented on a few times, and then she was begged to change it. She changed it....replacing it with 40 images of blinking, moving cats. Who started off being childish? Then, her PI friends joined in. That's when it all went to #######. Because she was asked/told to change her siggy image, "we" were called "old", "grumpzzzz", and various other things. We were told to shut up. We were told some things that we aren't even sure what they were.

That's what started all of it - one crappy, annoying image.

and nessa never said one word about the philippines or it's people.

no but she did start the "sarcastic" rude chit that led to all the country comments.

You are right it wasn't against filipina/o people but it was directed at someone from there who maybe didn't think posting in all caps was rude or wrong. We don't all have to have the same exact views on how to type. I find it rude when people start a poll because of something someone else does that annoys them. How it escalated is really insane though. I think people need to make peace(both sides) and get over it. You don't want a group of people from the same country to think everyone is against them.
