I went in just now and no one is there.

Does anyone from NYC know where the fireworks usually are? We're pondering going there for the 4th of july weekend but not sure yet where the best place to be would be.

Hi Bridget,

They typically alternate from the Hudson River side to the East River Side. Depending what side they are having it on....you would best be taking a subway for your trip not driving as its nuts...LOL. Where are you staying? In the city or in NJ or upstate? Hope that helps....depends on what river and then you can pick loactions.

We are not sure we want to do it yet but if we do I"d like to stay at the Hyatt on the Hudson in Jersey City and I was wondering if you can see the fireworks from there. I read on tripadvisor where to go to see them on the East River I think but there are no bathrooms so you need to go before you go and that's just not happening with me and the way I chug water all the time. Would be super cool if we could just hang out in our room and watch them from there.

It's between doing that and just going to the ones in Boston. I'm not too keen though on sitting there from 11amish on in the heat just to watch the fireworks but he needs to experience that at least once I think.
