Whoops, I kinda forgot about this thread. Well, not forgot, just got so busy with getting married & doing so many things (applying for SSN, opening bank accounts, furniture shopping, y'know, all that stuff!).

So I'm not actually sure if we are June or July filers now. Melusine, I see you sent yours late June but are considering yourselves July filers? By that note we would be too, but I was just about to tag onto the June filers thread... not sure. I believe our lawyer sent our paperwork on June 25th (I've asked her like 3 times and haven't gotten an answer yet), and she told us it would be delivered June 30th. So... should I join this party or the June one? I guess I'll go ask over there too... Anyhoo our check hasn't been cashed yet, nor any NOA1s yet.

We're not getting married till August 1, so I can't jump in this parade, but I just wanted to say, yeah, Rae, I can't believe it's been a year either. We're the same.

Pretty crazy, eh? And you haven't even moved yet!! Soon though.

i didn't sent nothing yet and i have issues with the new I693 form and the new rules since the I693A is not good anymore.

i am calling all doctors in the area and all are either incompetent or crooks.. i have a little hard time right now let say.

the only very good news so far is that i got my 5 yrs driving license last saturday in the mail.... it will help quite much

Sorry you're having issues with the Dr's here; that's the American healthcare system for ya.

That's great that you got your DL. Scott can't yet. They need his SSN, which we waited the 2 weeks for but then he wasn't in the system so they told us it'd be 4-6 weeks. I'm so annoyed. You're supposed to switch over your DL in New York State within 30 days of moving here so I don't know if they're going to make him retake a driver's test or what. It's incredibly stupid.

ok to answer some questions, K1 need the I693 version of the form (no I693A anymore) (new form rev. june 2008)

vaccination section of Part 2 with your

civil surgeon must complete the vaccination

It all seams quite clear but the bigger problem is civil surgeon beeing incompetent in the knowledge of it and/or just wanting to make plain cold cash with us.... i am so angry...

i should have repass the test aswell but i just had to re-do the writing test (wich i did on the spot without even reading the book).

Thing who saved me is that i already had an old SSN + DL from 10 yrs ago so i just had to do the DL renewal.. convenient, really.

as for the TB skin test, i am still confused about that one.

Well its off, we sent out our AOS package today.

I saw the bit about the TB test on USCIS web page and the way i read it is it's just a revised/updated guide from before and the pages seem to say if your from a high TB country or have been around ppl who have TB or have ever tested possitive for Tb you need to get tested again. Well i hope i read it right cause thats how i read it. And my papers are gone.

I sent my AOS/EAD package in on 30 June and just received my NOA for both in the mail today. Hoping that they speed through the next stages of things.

My sweet got in contact with another doctor, who didn't knew much about the new forms but who was a least listening...

should cost 99$.... i still think it's quite a bad price but if the office is actually human and is able to listen... then it's a good start.

Typical... I filed the I-129F just after the price hike last year, and now I file my AOS just after a new requirement which costs money... I'll wait and see what happens as I already sent in the AOS forms and payment. With regard to the TB test, I might not have an issue as it was obligatory to get a TB vaccination at school in the UK and I had the TB vaccination when I was about 10, I think that's on my vaccination supplement I sent with the AOS so I might still yet get lucky and not get an RFE.
