Hi all

What do you need to show the Social Security to get an SSN number??? I know you need your passport and immigration document - but what immigration document? Also, is anything else needed?

The immigration document will be your I-94 and the visa in your passport. I just went with my birth certificate, passport, I-94 and a completed SS-5

Also , They asked me if there are more than 10 days that i'm living in USA, they ask for the original certificate of mariage to check the seal, (even if it's written copy of certificate of mariage), and they keep the copy.

My wife went and they said she cant have the SS number until she is eligible to work. I just sent in her AOS today,

They gave her false information. Print this page off and then go back to the office and try again. If you are still refused, then ask to speak to a supervisor.

A K-1 is eligible to work for the first 90 days after entry... they are eligible to apply for SSN for the first 76 days after entry. It appears you are past 76 days.

You immigration document can also be a form I-551, I-766, I-688B as well as I-94.

Have you filed for AoS yet? You need your I-94 for that.

It's seems me that this I-94 (valid) is primordial for all things we need here.
