It hasn't happened to me yet, but I beleive that you would hear it faster from the operator... but the phone msg, shouldn't be far behind. I just called and the operator said , give them 2-4 weeks to process the information. I'm hoping it will be next week.

Sent I-130 to TSC

Received NOA1 from CSC with a date of 8/15/06

I-130 petition approved 4/16/2008 after 19 months.

Got IIN from NVC 5-13-08

Paid AOS fee online 5-14-08, Paid IV Fee online 5-27-08

Sent I-864 forms 5-27-08

Sent DS-230 forms 5-28-08

6-2-08 called NVC and msg says "received all information, processing will take 4-6 weeks"

6-13-08 called NVC, CR1 is complete, sent RFE for CR2. returned to NVC, waitn on result

6-26-08 case complete/approved. Waiting to be transferred to U.S. Embassy in Guangzhou, China for interview date

7-7-08 Petition forwarded to Guanzhou, China. Awaiting interview letter.

The automated system will automatically tell you when your case has been completed with date and all. It's about two weeks after they receive the DS-230 packet.

I think I made record with waiting for a "Case Complete"...It has been 24 days since they entered my DS230 into the system and I have not heard anything...plus they made a mistake and on June 02 I got the missing and/or incomplete info and when i called to find out what it was...they said they wanted my birth certificate and marriage certificate...i told them i'm the petitioner and my birth certificate is not required and i had already submitted my marriage certificate...when she looked she said sorry to disregard the message they thought this was a parent/sibling petition not a spouse petition...she said to wait another 10-15 days to hear a case complete...that will make it over a month since they have my docs...I can't believe this...am i the only one out there who experienced this.................. :crying::crying:

I have basically called them everyday since the 19th to speak to a NVC operator to ask my status and they tell me the same thing that it is still under review and will take 2-4weeks...a couple of times when I called the NVC operator told me they will put a note in to request a review and still nothing..when i called last night the operator said that it is still under review and she noticed that a couple of times an operator put a request in for review...i had one time in May and one put in June 2...she said to wait 10-15 days...do you think me calling so much is acutally penalizing me...so because they see i call so much they don't want to touch my case...i don't know whats going on...the operators already told me docs are fine and there is nothing wrong with them so i am not sure why its taking so long...

2-4 weeks??? Why are some people's cases complete after 3-4 days? Does it depend on the country the petitioner comes from? We quadruple checked our papers so I know nothing is missing or incomplete. So frustrating!

"2-4 weeks to process the information" this is a standard statement of NVC operators and they have been taught and asked to say that.. so don't worry.... you should get your's sooner...

Also...can the AVR change over the weekend, or just on week days?

My case was completed on June 3rd and Arequipa4us on the 2nd, but we have not been scheduled for an interview yet. I am starting to wonder if the US embassy in Peru has filled all its appointments for July  ? Hope not. I will call an NVC operator today to find out what is going on. I will keep you posted.

In our case we had change twice in a same week, first change was on Friday morning, second the next day on Saturday morning. Very weird, might NVC considered us as a 'special'.

I spoke to an NVC operator a few minutes ago. He said that I should hear something by next Friday as they will schedule the interviews for the month of July starting Monday. He also mentioned that the AVR might not change the day that the interview is schedule. Accorgin to hime, it usually takes a couple of days for the AVR to get updated. So I guess the only way to know right away is to keep calling during the week.

What a long weekend this is going to be...

Good luck everyone
