Can I Xpresspost you some laundry? I like a nice pleat in the front of my pants, starched collars, and socks paired, but not balled. . . . . .

And FYI, I am so stealing the phrase Sweet flaming hamster on a stick

That depends; if you're willing to throw in some mending we have a deal. I've already enbuttoned (re-buttoned?) all the wayward pants in my hubby's closet.

Glad you liked the roasted rodent; I think it has made an appearance on VJ ere this. I have many such expressions and use them frequently.

Good point. I did pluck them when I got here, but only because I hadn't had time in some time.

I'm surfing online for summer-friendly recipes that don't involve wheat, bell peppers, or cilantro. You'd be surprised at how difficult it is to find something new.

Tonight I made an almond crusted salmon fillet with sauce made from sesame oil, orange zest, fresh ginger, garlic, and agave syrup, with jasmine rice and steamed spinach flavoured with rice vinegar.

It was supposed to be a toasted sesame seed crust but when I went to toast the sesame seeds they were stale so I minced almonds instead.

OMG, I was wandering the Wal-Mart one crazy day (because you have to be crazy to wander the Wal-Mart), when I found a little gadget for eyebrow grooming. "Cool!", thought I, so I bought it. As I was getting ready to fly home for a visit I thought "Oh! I will use my new eyebrow grooming gadget and look extra nice!" So.... on the first swipe I made a notch in the middle of my right eyebrow. I now had three eyebrows to raise in shock and dismay. I obviously needed some practice with this new tool and tried again on my left eyebrow, neatly removing about an inch from the end of it. I now had 2.5 eyebrows. Not exactly the look I was going for. I discovered that it takes a very long time to re-grow eyebrows. <_<

There seems to be a high turnover in my house, so I always have a steady supply.

My old boyfriend had a hamster that got out of its cage one day. He was very upset about losing him and spent hours searching, concerned that if he did not find it it would die. He finally located it in one of the floor registers and scooped it out. While he was carrying it back to its cage, it bit him. The pain and shock from the bite made him squish the daylights out of wee hamster and he died. :dead:

In my defense, I did find my way over there last night!

I met some of his friends last night, who didn't get my joke about how his "Girlfriend Who Lives in Canada" actually exists.

We ended up at this dreadful bar that was decorated in animal print and pleather (on PURPOSE!) and playing these awful 80's medley/remixes and one of the guys asked me "Do you have places like this in Canada?!" to which I replied "Yes, but they're packed full of gay men."

OMG just played the YouTube song - that is a hoot!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
