Wow! Some of you seem to be going thru the medical procedures, and the paperwork in preparation for Packet 3 / 4. I haven't even started. Normally I would get things together, but I've been statterbrained lately also due to my 12 hours/6 days work schedule....

Could someone lead me to direct links to documents / forms that we definitely need filled out in time for O's interview? I would have know this months ago, but now, I'm like *meeh* -- time is going waaaay to fast for me to keep up with (maybe good, but not so good when it comes to important documents!)

Thanks y'all!

If you click on the guides tab at the top of the page and then click on the K-1 flowchart, that will give you a good idea of what is needed when and links to the forms you need, if I'm not mistaken.

Hope this helps! =)

Hi everybody :) Still here and avoiding any papework  I shouldn't be doing that, but I feel so burnt out! :( Well, like Stevi, I too received my NVC hard copy today. And it is nice to see it my hands. We are still waiting for Thursday so that Jorge can call CDJ to get more information. If nothing good comes from it, I will just fill out the information this weekend. I need to rest my brain  I found out today that I get my raise starting from Friday  I'm so happy because I went from 10.75 to 12.00 and hour woohoo. They must love me at work  It's great timing for it  Jorge and I have been kind of fighting a lot lately. Probably that's why I'm in such a crapy mood lately. I feel so out of it, and I try to explain to him how I feel and he thinks that I am going to leave him, WHICH I AM NOT. I'm just very tired of this. I'm thinking my wording isn't very helpful :( I don't know what to do. I want this to be over so bad!

Well. Enough of my yapping. Everyone have a great week :)

Maria,

I am sorry that you are not feeling up to par lately. It really is a feeling that I can relate to. This process is emotionally draining at times. With such extremes of ups and downs, it can take a toll on you physically too. Not to mention having to actually have a life outside of this full time job of K1 petitioning....Congrats on your pay raise. I am very happy for you, and I am proud of you too. You give so much to us here on VJ with your positive thoughts and well-wishes. You are a very gifted young lady.

It won't be much longer before you are together with Jorge. He is on this rollercoaster ride too, and we all express ourselves differently. Please continue to concentrate on all of the wonderful things that are about to happen for you and Jorge. You have a lifetime of togetherness to look forward to. It won't be long. In fact, with the way your Embassy works, you are even more blessed.

We are here for you just as you have been here for us. Please use us to lean on.

Again, congratulations on the giant pay raise. :)

Stevi

I am getting concerned. Our file was touched twice in a row (see timeline below), last time on Monday July 28. Others in our case have either had approval or a RFE. A week later, nothing for us. No more touch, no email, no RFE, no NOA2, nothing!

Do they update the web site for a RFE? Do they send an email? I am pretty sure my email address is correct.

I feel like they looked at our file and put it at the bottom of another big pile.

Anyone out there who has had/is having the same experience? What happened next for you?

Need reassurance here... please :star:

Hey you guys! i called CDJ and they've had my case for a few days. YAY. Well. He wouldn't give me an estimate of how long it could take to get packet 3. Oh well. Here goes another waiting game. Also, he told me that the benificiary recieves the packet, not the petitioner. I even asked him that I've heard that some petitioners get it because of the "mail system" in mexico...he said that the applicant gets it, not the petitioner. So I'm confused. Oh well. I'm hoping it wont take that long...

Nathalie got a call yesterday from the Embassy yesterday getting her police certificate. She called them back today...they needed to verify some information (parents, her name, birthday, etc). They said she can pick up packet 3 next week on Wednesday or Thursday. She is going for her blood tests and xray today. I believe she has an appointment on Friday for her medical.

I *might* have her call the Embassy tomorrow and see if she can schedule the interview without having the packet...since we'll pretty much have everything ready to go next week, I think.

I had to dig deep to find this thread! Where everyone go?

I just got an email from the Embassy with the scheduled interview date: October 7th! Yayness!

I realllllly want to go fly over... but I must teach.... technically I'm only allowed to miss one day of work. I'm going to check out the ticket prices and see if it's worth it to go Friday -- arriving Saturday, be there for support then fly back right after. I would miss a day (I'll be working M/W/F only)... hmm... sounds crazy huh?

Hope you guys are all progressing too! I drove 1.5 hours for a task that only took 10 minutes (picking up certified copy of my birth certificate). Luckily I have a girlfriend to lunch with near there! Speaking of the Birth Certificate.... there's people saying that he needs to have the original.... others says to just send him a copy of it. Whos right? Can someone (if got into the wrong hands) steal my identity with the b.c.?

Ok... seriously i'm going to check out the fares... maybe I'll just give it to him in person ;)

Hi k&o,

Congratulations of progressing to the interview stage already. That is quite a trip to make for just less than a half day stay. But love has no boundaries.

I suppose ours has arrived at the London Embassy within the past day or so, but the London computer system apparently has been experiencing some "technical difficulties" but DOS says it was forwarded last week. So, I will just call again tomorrow. I am trying not to go too fast, because we anticipated another month before approval, and this is going a tab too expediently. BUT we are not complaining about that :)

Again, congrats on your good news. We like to touch base and support each other, even though quite a few of us are at the same point and a little overwhelmed at the reality of it all sometimes.

Until Later,

Stevi

HI everybody! it's hump day!!

K&O! THat's crazy to go there for just a day... have you thought about if the flight gets delayed? Maybe you have a sick day you can use at work. My concern is your job when you get back. Just be careful. Maybe you can explain to your job that it is a family emergency or something so that they can let you go for the time needed. Also, congratulations on the interview date! That's wonderful!

How is everybody else doing with their case? Josh & Nathalie, I know you guys are picking up packet 3 next week! Stevi- Good luck on that phone call tomorrow!!! We certainly need all the hope in the world right now! I am feeling much better about things. What can I say~ I'm a girl! :P I'm very moody at times. My energy is back :D And I'm glad! I bought a new pair of pants and 2 cute shirts :D:D HAHAHA Just thought it was important information.

Caity!!!!!!! Come back!!! I'm sure you're enjoying your vacation!!!!!:yes::yes: I'm jealous. i wish i could be in Mexico with my baby.

Anyone else that I missed!!! WHERE YOU AT?!?!?!

Jorge is getting my wedding ring within the next couple of weeks! He has been saving for it  He asked me today that he needs my ring size by next Friday so he can get it ordered. He already has one picked out, but he won't describe it to me  He says "it's a surprise." I'm sure i will love it. He talked once about getting both engraved. I think he mentioned his name on mine and my name on his or something like that.

Tomorrow Jorge is going to call Juarez, even though I already did. He is going to get somebody different and ask a few more questions to see if there is anything else that I can do to prepare!!!

I'm excited again!!!! We are THAT much closer ya'll!

Much Love to you guys! :star:

Ok.....Now that Maria is back to her usual, joyful self, all seems right again :D

I can certainly relate to moodiness. I am the same way sometimes and yes, we are females aren't we? We just get that way at times. But what would the world be like without us? GIRL POWER

I am wishing everyone a great day. The weeks seem to be zooming by. Time was standing still for months, and now it is going by so fast that it seems unreal at times. I cannot believe that Christmas is just around the corner.

Imagine how different Christmas will be this year for many of us. I feel like putting a tree up right now :)

As my Taiwo says each day "By the special Grace of God....."

Just fill-in the rest of that sentence with whatever your prayers are.

My prayer for us all is that "By the special Grace of God, we all enjoy good health, long lives, and much happiness & love with our husbands/wives/children/family."

Have a wonderful Thursday

Stevi

YOu guys. It feels so weird that there is a new August filers thread...Ain't that crazy?

Jorge called CDJ today. Wanna know something funny? Not really funny, but weird..... The guy told him that (he was very nice by the way) our petition got to CDJ Jul 30........but that's when it was shipped from NVC...? Is he crazy? That doesn't make much sense to me...........................................................................:blink::blink::blink:

Well...he told Jorge that the packet could arrive 4-8 weeks. He mentioned that the packet will mention if I need to attend or not. I may very well go after all. I am still debating on that issue! He also told Jorge that he will receive his visa within 24 hrs after the interview yAY! I would LOVE it if we were able to fly up here together. That would be so much fun! Let's see...what else did he telll him...He said that he DOES need my originals... if that is the case, i will go to mexico!!!!!!!! ANDALE ANDALE ANDALE!!!!!!!!:lol: Just kidding. i kind of want to go. It'll be fun. And we can get the party started early
