So then God is responsible for these natural disasters?

I'm afraid I find the idea of divine pre-destiny rather uncomfortable in relation to natural or other disasters involving loss of life - as it often tends to come with an amount of blame attached to it. "They sinned and God punished them" kind of thing...

God, ####### is that about, why kill millions of innocent children for what, because he can, doesn’t seem right and not much love and compassion. But that is my personal opinion. I put it to this, if I had a beautiful pool in my back yard, loved that pool, but I also have a baby, now, I know that if I leave that baby alone by the pool, the chances are that the baby will fall in the pool and drown. Why would I stand by and let that happen, when I have the power to change that baby’s fate. Not only would I know about the baby and the danger of pools, but God knows everything before it happens, so why not step in and handle the job. That is called a mother’s love, so how much more would a perfect God love be. To sit by and let horrific things happen to millions of good people is not what I call a good job, but then again, I have high standards when it comes to love and compassion. Don't say it is his plan, cause if he has a plan, than what does prayer have to do with anything. Cause if everything is God's will, than why bother praying since you can't changed God's plan.

I didn't say it wasn't His will but I don't profess to know why He does each and evry thing He does. There are different reason why bad things happen.

What I am saying is, why not help the people he claims to love, why all the suffering, and tragedy in the world, when God could take care of it in a second. How can you stand by and watch millions everyday suffer, from cancer, heart disease, and the millions of other things that happen? It takes a certain kind of individual to stand by and watch someone dying a horrible death, or watch a child starve, that thought has always been in my head for as long as I can remember. I can’t stand to watch tragedy why would not an all loving God stand by and just let it happen, it makes absolutely no sense. To blindly just believe this is something I just can't seem to do. Trust me I have tried the whole religious thing, and I always questioned, and none of the answers make any kind of sense to a person of intelligence.

To me, saying the earthquake happened within God's will is no different than saying it happened because of karma.

Since someone brought it up, I suppose 9/11 was within God's will too...

To me, saying the earthquake happened within God's will is no different than saying it happened because of karma.

Karma implies that it happened because of a direct result of something you did to bring it on yourself. It's not karma necessarily to recognize that things don't happen without God's will but that they weren't necessarily as a punishment for anything but could have had another reason.
