Can someone clarify for me what the difference is in a K-3 visa or a CR1? I was under the impression if you marry a non US citzen outside of the US, you have to file a CR1, but then i read somewhere else you must file a K-3. Im soo confused?

also is there a list of how the forms should be filed and in what order or is it determined by what form you start off with, such as if you file a k-1, will there be something on that form that will say now you need to file the next form, or are you notified by USCIS, once they recieve your initial paperwork?

All input appreciated :

Studying the guides is critical. K3 is optional and can be a good or bad option depending on the country and your own priorities. For instance if the foreigner working right away after entry is important, you don't want a K3. If it isn't and they're coming from China or Canada (for instance) K3 may be an excellent option.

In Jamaica, most are finding it better to file the CR-1.

Honey....you need to talk to Marlita or Shrewdgal on the Jamaican forums.
