After a huge delay because of Requested information regarding my I-864

I received today by mail a notice to appear for our "Initial Interview" on February the 19th.

So I'm happy and nervous to bet back in the race....

Just one question when it states as "Initial" Interview does that imply that their will be more ?

Congratz on the interview date. Nothing more here since our last touch on 12/21/08. Not sure what the heck they are up to.

we filed the end of May....received I485 approval on Dec. 23....notice from CRIS saying

Green Card would be here in 60 days.....

GLAD this part is behind us for at least 21 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AOS sent in May 28

transfered to CSC July 25

EAD received Sept

AP received in OCT

AOS approved 12/23/08

On December 2, 2008, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

What the heck is goin on??? I got my EAD on the same mailing address and all the previous notices!!!!! I called them and they said we will re-send it and u should receive it within 45 days,if not, contact us back!! i am afraid this notice tells the appt date and i am gonna miss it and then i will end up getting a denial in the mail of not goin to the interview and i dont know what i am gonne do ,

any help will be appreciated .

Moe1985 your time line is similar to mine but I had the delay with my RFE , so I agree that the "undelivered letter" might be your Interview Notice...

On my Interview Notice it gives you a tel. number : 1-800-375-5283 in case you need to change your appt. date.

Is this the same number you already called and if not try calling them and with your application number??

Yes this too did happen to us. We are from ATLANTA and everything all year long came in the mail properly except for the INTERVIEW Date letter.

I wonder how you can find out when your interview would be?? This is serious, bcz you dont want to miss your interview!!!

By the way, my grandparents are going on vacation to Israel, but will also be stopping over for 2 days to tour Petra Jordan! Must be nice!!!

Moe I dont know if a letter would help. Look at the following thread..

You would think that by calling them they would give you the date of the interview...

If they resend it already then should arrive pretty soon...just as long as it does not arrive after the cited interview date...

Robyn-n-Kris I believe that you should call USCIS...go ahead and check the timeline for your service center just to make sure that you are out of their time frame and then place a service call to check on it. ChrisB0707 I believe you should do the same. I for one would do it...

I am on the same boat with ChrisB0707,I tried to call USCIS and spoke to a lady she said i cant place a service call on my case she said all I can do is wait, my case is transferred to california she said they are only processing I-485 based on employment that made me confused, my question is how would I place a service call?

As I said in my previous post, you have to check the timeline for the service center your case is at this moment...so if it was transf to CA, check the timeline for CA service center and if your case is out of that timeline, call again and ask to place a service request on your case!

The letter we received said our case was with the National Benefits Center and to check there for processing times but the NBC doesnt have processing times for AOS. When I check the CSC is only has processing times for employment AOS. When you call the CC line they give you a bunch of BS. ShaSha had her BIO appointment in July and we have not had any changes since. Is anyone else having the same issues or anyone also from Las Vegas with updates would be great also. Goodluck everyone

Finally! We received our interview date in the mail while we were out of town...no update on the USCIS case status website though. Looks like we're a "go" for Feb 2nd...one more month. To those of you still waiting...we hope you get your date soon!
