Some cases sent to the CSC will still need an interview.

Really? How does that work then? Do they send the case back to your local office and have them schedule an interview? Seems like that would delay things even more.

sometimes being transferred is not always a blessing. I know of some transferee's who have been waiting longer than those who require an interview. But I think COUILLE_MOLLE required an interview after being transferred since she's on the CSC transferee thread.

I submitted my AOS and was received on nov. 22/2005. If I were at the maximum time frame, I would be getting the interview fairly soon. But since I have been transferred I'm stuck here waiting. Moreover, I only just recently learned my file was sitting somewhere in a file room and it'll be another 60 days before I get a heads up on what's going on.

Interesting to hear some CSC transferees are still having to interview, though it seems to be the exception rather than the norm. I wouldn't mind waiting a few extra months at CSC if it imeant being approved without interview. I'm more concerned about my wife getting her EAD now as she is anxious to begin working soon.

chocolaterie, sorry to hear about your long wait, though it appears that there is some activity with your case evidenced by the recent "touches" Hope you'll see your approval soon :)

We got the same e-mail today but hope the real timeframe is faster.. I think maybe they give that estimate to be on the safe side, since a few cases do take longer than usual?

I have not seen anyone here get called for an interview AFTER being transferred to CSC - would be really interested to find out if anyone experienced this.. I think a few posters here initially had interviews that were "inconclusive" due to pending background checks and then had their cases transferred to CSC while the background checks were being processed.
