Finding it strange nobody has gotten an approval so far. It´s been over a week without any activity from Vermont. :(

So i call them this morning and the responce is i have to wait till the processing dates now reach april 28th, that they have a 30 day buisness day period for whatever after the 45 plus... it really didnt make alot of sense in my mind but they seem to have some order to there madness!!!!

Oh well i guess its just wait wait wait, so im running off to england on monday for 10 days to wait with my baby..... Kelle

what they mean is..................you have to wait until they are processing cases 30 days AFTER your receipt date. Once that happens you can file a "referral" as they call it. You can call & they will look into your case. Unfortunately, until you reach that 30 day point-there is nothing you can do :(

Vermont is usually fast but ya never know-I waited 88 days for my noa 2(while most people got their's in a few weeks). good luck on your journey!!! hope this helps

OK so my NOA1 was on March 25th and they are processing May 9 now so that would be well over the 30 days the way i see it...im sure as i said im just missing something, in my younger years i burned alot of brain cells...... Thanks for the reply though~ Kelle

it's so unfair but you will have to wait until they are processing cases for 4/25 before you can really do anything. You will probably get your noa2 before you have to call them for a referral.

good luck

People on VJ with dates 2 weeks after ours were getting approvals before we did. We got some comfort out of the fact that they were finally in our timeframe, and eventually we did get it. Someone (I think it was meuxna) posted a great explanation on how packets are processed in the service centres and how sometimes packets may get processed out of order. This is why USCIS tells you to wait until the processing dates are 30 days passed your NOA1 date -- that way they are reasonably certain that they have cleared that particular date and have moved on. I'll have to see if i can track down that post for you.

I'm getting annoyed that Vermont seems to have shut down. :( I mean, nobody said anything else about touches or NOAs or anything else through Vermont, and since May 1st nothing has happened AT ALL. No touches or NOAs. Anyone else wondering what's going on?!?!?!

From what I heard, they are halting the processing of all K-1 Visas at Vermont for a few reasons:

1. They are still trying to figure out the IMBRA law and the new processing guidelines

2. They are going back and re-checking all the cases that were recently re-called!!!!

Since most of the cases recalled originally came out of the Vermont SC, they are going BACK to Vermont to be re-checked. This is now causing all of the other applications to get back logged.....

Don't stress... the approval will come but it may take a little longer. Patience is VERY hard.....I waited over 3 months for my approval and I know how hard it can be to wait!!!!

Where did you hear that? Please let them NOT be halting processing, a bunch of us have nothing to do with IMBRA, as we didn't meet through a broker.
