Hello. I am going K-3 route too. It took our I-129F two weeks to get to NVC. Once at NVC most cases are sent to the embassy within 1-2 weeks. However, there are cases randomly chosen to go through FBI checks. This may take an extra week or two. This is what happened to my case. We were approved April 3rd and our case was just sent to the embassy on the 15th.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your journey. :star:

Hi ! We also are going the K3 route. I called the NVC and we were not on thier automated system yet, so I spoke with someone at the NVC. They gave me our NVC case # and told me our case was received on 5/12/08 but was randomly chosen to go through FBI checks and our file was sent to Washington DC.

Good Luck to you :star:

Most I-129F petitions (K-3 route) appear to leave NVC within a couple days.

It took our I-129F over 3 weeks to arrive at NVC, but went out to consulate the next day.

We're still waiting on our packet 3...ugg. ..been calling and they said they will email it to my wife.

We are going to go the K3 route!!!

I'm in the same boat as you bro, i hope my I129 gets approved as fast as yours... supposedly as i heard from the NVC's restructuring... Once the petition is approved you should get an interview between 60-75 days. give or take depending on whether the NVC takes longer than 2-3 weeks.

Please keep your timeline posted.. so far you're the only one i know who is going the exact same route as me, and at the exact same country.

See if you can find in the website of the US consulate in the city where you are attending the interview.

I looked at the US consulate in Rio de Janeiro website, and they had a page full of information about the documents that need to be gathered.

Heyy!!

I spoke this afternoon to a nice lady at NVC , she told me my I129F (K3) was sent today to the consulate.

WOW So fast!!!

But there is something not good for me, is that the consulate at DR will not be working tomorrow, neither on Monday and Wednesday.

You can track your case package at DHL.
