Has anyone has an AOS interview recently in TX?? We had been waiting on the approved EAD after the biometrics and received a notice of interview for May 15? What is mind boggling :wacko: is that we have hardly anything they say to bring, because he can't get a SS card.

Any suggestions on what to do??

7/20/05 - Visa received in the mail

9/13/05 - Arrival to Texas FINALLY!!!

12/2/05 - Wedding

1/25/06 - AOS/EAD sent

1/26/06 - AOS/EAD received at USCIS

02/4/06 - NOA received for EAD

02/6/06 - NOA received for AOS

02/7/06 - ASC appt notice rcv'd

03/2/06 - Biometrics appt.

05/15/06 - AOS Approval (stamp in passport)

05/23/06 - Received Welcome letter

05/26/06 - Green Card arrived in mail yaaaahhooooo

08/10/06 - Hubby 1st job in US

05/15/08 - ??? what next

Well, I am still waiting on my EAD fingerprinting letter from USCIS office in Houston, TX. I have tried to contact them several times but nothing happened. REcently, I received the invitation for my AOS interview. I don't know what is going wrong with the EADs in TX, though.

Removal of Conditions Timeline:

03/19/2008 - package sent to TSC, let's hope for the best

03/20/2008 - check cashed

03/26/2008 - case sent to Vermont Service Center

04/17/2008 - Biometrics scheduled

05/19/2008 - received I551 extension stamp via INFOPASS

02/12/2009 - APPROVED

02/21/2009 - GC received...no mistakes...valid until 2019

Good Luck on your interview and just try to bring as much as you can. We had an easy one but it was in Columbus, Ohio and they just looked at our file and said everything was there and in order and didn't want to see anything we had brought with us.

8/8/2004 Petition denied

After 214 Days of waiting

10/11/2004 Returned from Morocco even more in love.

2/11/05 APPROVAL

2/14/05 EMAIL, OUR PETITION HAS BEEN APPROVED

86 Days what an awesome feeling

2/25/05 Email received from nvc, given case number

3/21/05 Email from consulate

b]INTERVIEW DATE 5/10/05[/b]

3/31/05 Fiance finally receives his packet from the consulate

4/12/05 He had medical exam

5/10/05 INTERVIEW WAS A SUCCESS

5/18/05 VISA IN HAND

Took 214 Days for a denial, but IN 205 days He will be HOME

6/10/05 Abdou arrives in America, what a happy day!

6/13/05 Applied for SSN

6/23/05 6 p.m. We were MARRIED; honeymoon in Gatlinburg

8/13/05 AOS and EAD paperwork mailed

8/25/05 NOAs in the mail!!! Yea!

11/25/05 - BIOMETRIC DATE

01/26/06 - AOS SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW AND HE GETS HIS FIRST JOB AT FIRST JOB INTERVIEW

02/13/06 - GREEN CARD ARRIVED

4/22/06 - Driver's License!!

11/05/2007 Filed to Lift conditions[/color]

11/07/07 - NOA1 received

12/21/07 - Biometrics completed

04/08/08 - 10 YEAR CARD APPROVED

04/14/08 - CARD IN HAND !!!!!

11/3/08 - Filed for Citizenship

11/29/08 - Biometric Appointment

02/03/09 - Citizenship Interview, HE PASSED

My EAD was not approved at the interview time because they messed my fingerprints. At the interview they looked at our stuff and that's it. I guess all you can do is gather what you can and what's related to SSN and can't have explain why .

I had my interview in Houston, TX, but I didn't apply EAD so I don't know how does it go. My interview went pretty well, the officer said I would get my green card soon after they check my fingerprints.

There is another experince I want to share about the INS in Houston...I had my inerview first so the officer sent me for Fingerprints on my interview day. There are 3 INS offices in Houston for FPs, the office I was sent to--- they messed up my A-number twice, I had to go back to Houston 3 times for it..... it's been a month since that and I still havn't gotten anything about my case.

My Timeline

2005/02/19 Sent out I-129F

2005/05/19 Interview day80

2005/05/21 Got K1

2005/05/31 Arrived USA

2005/07/09 Got Married

2005/08/20 Filed AOS

2005/08/25 NOA

2005/09/15 Got RFE for Immunization

2005/12/22 Got I-179C for Interview

2006/02/16 Interview Day and Biometrics

2006/03/18 FP unclassifiable. Redo FP

2006/04/10 ASC notice FP AGAIN??

2006/04/25 3rd FP, found out INS mistyped my A Number twice

2006/04/26 INS officer called and said my FP was fine

2006/06/05 Recieved Welcome Letter

2006/06/09 Recieved GREEN CARD abt 10 mo
