well KITTYthai, I am sure someone will have a better solution to this but personally what I do is print it to primoPDF or something similar which saves almost anything to a PDF file. Though the problem with this is that you can no longer edit/change the data on the saved PDF form and the program is a bit buggy and sometimes doesnt save the file properly.

Basically, when you install PrimoPDF program, it acts like an additional printer on your computer... when you fill out the USCIS forms you can click print and chose "primoPDF" as the printer to print to... PrimoPDF asks you where you want to save the output file (which is in PDF format) you specify the location and thats it... it saves whatever you are printing into a PDF file. You can archive the PDF file for later use... on the flip side though you cant really edit the pdf file like you could with the USCIS fillable forms... also in some cases I have noticed the program to be buggy where the saved PDF file is just blank and has no data... so please be careful.

To find PrimoPDF program - just go to download.com and type in primoPDf, there are other similar applications available on the web as well that let you do the same thing...

I wish there was something better that allowed you to go back and make changes to the saved forms... anyone?

Kitty,

Some of the immigration forms are fillable. Others are not. There seems to be no rational as to which can be filled out on your computer. On the immigration website they indicate which ones are fillable.

I save all of my PDF forms on my computer, you can save them in PDF format, when you select save as, just save as PDF form in whatever file you want to save them, and as long as you have adobe acrobat you will be able to re-open them, I am not sure about the fillable ones though, you have to have adobe professional to save those and save everything you filled in on them.

You can also visit visapro.com for any fillable forms that are not available on the USCIS site as fillable. They are the most recent as per the USCIS site. If you are having any problems filling the forms and/or saving to your computer you can download a trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 from my signature.

You can find me on FBI
