My mouth dropped when I saw the guy throw the cyclist over the bridge. LOL

The pole vault made me go "Ooooooooooooo".

The gymnastics with all the girls tumbling after one another made me LOL.

And the vault where the guy embeds himself into the box horse and a big puff of powder comes out makes me go "Umph" and LOL.

lol! too funny, yet so hurtfull

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

All we need is for Jim MacKay to do the intro, "Spanning the globe to bring you the constant variety of sports... the thrill of victory... and the agony of defeat... the human drama of athletic competition... This is "VJ's Wide World of Sports!"

I knew a guy in high school who, when jumping over the hurdles in track, miscalculated and smashed his groin. I didn't see him after that for a little while...

Oooooooo. The first time I jumped hurdles I gave myself a serious sprained ankle. Man, that was painful. So then I had my swim coach (I was in competitive swimming) and my ballet teacher (who was already ticked off at me for developing the wrong muscles from swimming) super ticked off at me because I was out for a month.

Had a good bonk on the head from golfing lessons once, too. I was standing too close to my friend when she swung the club. Knocked me right on my ###. The teacher held two fingers up and asked me how many. I said four. "Take her to the nurse, she said." Ouch.

My sister had a serious fall from the parallel bars. Dislocated a disk in her back. She never could do sports after that. It's serious stuff. That kid on the balance beam made me nauseated falling on her head like that. I'm sure she has repercussions from that fall. :(
