Hello,

NVC received my IV payment last week and I am hoping IVR would be updated to show my DS-230 has been generated. I have ll the docs for DS-230. My question is, should I mail my stuff tomorrow or should I wait couple of days? I will be using James' shortcuts.

I do want my process to be completed asap but do not want NVC to be suspicious either.

Thanks!

No, you have to wait until either the automated system or a live rep tells you that it has either been generated or that it has been mailed to you. You shouldn't send anything before that or you'll delay the process.

Mononoke28, I will wait for the automated system to be updated. I will wait unitl it says that my DS-230 has been generted.

But my question is should I wait at all to send my docs using James' shortcuts after automated system has been updated?

So lets say if tomorrow 4/29, NVC's automated system says my DS-230 was generted on 4/28 should I mail my docs same day or wait it out for couple of days?

Thanks

Oh if the automated system or live rep says that it has either been generated or mailed, you can mail it to them as soon as you hang up the phone. No need to wait around an extra day if you everything ready.

This is literally what I did. LOL

I had my DS-230 papers ready. I called IVR and when I learned it has been generated, I hanged up the phone and went straight to USPS.

I would rather talk to the atendent to check about the payment instead of using the authomated system. My husband paied our IV fee Bill on April 4th and after a week he started to check trough the authomated system, then after two weeks the authomated message was still not reflecting that DS 230 had been generated, so on April25th once again he tried authomated system and still no changes, then he decided to talk to the atendent and see why it was taking so long and the atendent said that the payment entered their system on the 18th and DS230 had been generated and mailed to him. So, my advice would be that you should not trust their authomated system since it's not allways updated.

Anyway, regarding sending documents before we receive DS 230 packet, isn't there a cover page with a barcode that comes with DS 230 package which we are supposed to return along with the required docs??? I'm asking that because my husband already have the docs in hands and he's just waiting for the packet to arrive to get this cover page with barcode to send everything. I've read this information previously in several posts here, so I'm getting confused by some comments made in here saying that as soon as you hear the message saying that payment is received you may send DS 230 form and documents and don't need to wait for their instruction package. Could anyone clear that, please.

If you use James's Shortcuts then you can print DS-230 cover page and can send entire DS-230 package as soon as NVC Automated message changes or phone operator says that payment is entered into system and DS-230 is generated.

If automated system is not updated/changed I would call the NVC and talk with operator to find out, if they say it is generated you can send it same day.
