If you are referring to the dates posted on the USCIS website, then understand something... They post that they are 6 months behind regardless of where they are. They like to have cases done in 6 months, so if they state they are on October cases, then they are still within time limit.

The VSC is working on February/March cases...

The CSC is working on December...

Now realize these all don't get approved in an exact order. There are people waiting from September and October still.

hello guys,

Luckily for you, the Vermont Service Center moves a lot more quickly than other service centers. You can expect to wait anywhere from 3 to 6 months.

Good luck!

Hi lady23,

At least your Center is Vermont, so your case should go a little bit faster. No idea when you first sent in your petition. In most cases I think, the entire process until you get your visa is about 6 months, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. Sometimes something happens where they don't touch your case for a long time or you get a lot of RFE's (requests for more information) that will slow you down.

the US citizen should be receiving instructions from the center, and then the person in the Philippines should start getting instructions. It's a step by step process. No idea where you are in the process since you don't have a timeline.

If you or the US citizen sent the petition in more than I'd say, six weeks ago, and you've yet to receive the NOA1 receipt from them, then I'd call and inquire about your case. You can also check your case status online at uscis.gov.

Summer 2001 - met my Scottish boy

December 18th, 2007 - proposal in Madrid's Botanical Gardens with a duck standing behind him going 'food?'

January 18th, 2008 - I-129F sent to VSC

January 31st, 2008 - received NOA1, issued Jan. 24 :)

February 24th, 2008 - NOA2; omgwtfbbqlolz

February 29th, 2008 - NVC letter sent

Dates showed are those being processed as to date though it seem not being followed consecutively since there are still some cases who are very much left behind. But since you go for Vermont, you can expect it in 3-5 months time even in one month time.

:)

That's great lady  Hopefully your case will go a lot faster now.

In any case, you're almost through to the Philippines where things are meant to move a lot faster. You'll be together soon :)

You can get a better idea of how your visa processing compares to others when you enter your timeline info. Go to "My assistant" near the top of the webpage and enter your info. Then click on your name and then go to your timeline and click it. It takes you to a page with "find similar" timelines. You can see if you falling behind or going faster than most filers in a similar situation. Most of time nothing appears to be happening with your visa but eventually it moves forward unless the government doesn't get all the info it requires.

If you filed in February with the I-129F with VSC then you should be close to our status i.e. no interview date and waiting in limbo as usual.
