touched/update K1/K2

hi to all. just wanna ask how important the touch/update to the said petition. since our case never get any touch yet... and i was checking some timtline here who seems got 2 to 4 touched now since the day they got the NOA1. im worried cuz its been 2 months now since we filed the K1 but yet never been heard any update...

can we call the CSC to ask about it? please help me understand. thanks to all! GOD BLESS US.

No one is really able to explain why some people get so many touches, while others get very little or none. It really doesn't mean anything.

You may simply get your approval one day, without any touches.

Good luck for a speedy approval.

July 31/04... Entered U.S.

Dec. 10/04... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport stamped)

Sept. 9/06... I-751 sent to NSC

May 15/07... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Sept. 13/07... N-400 sent to NSC

Aug. 21/08... Interview - PASSED!!!!

Sept. 2/08... Oath Ceremony

Sept. 5/08... Sent in Voter Registration Card

Sept. 9/08... SSA office to change status to "U.S. citizen"

Oct. 8/08... Applied in person for U.S. Passport

Oct. 22/08... U.S. Passport received

DONE!!! DONE!!! DONE!!! DONE!!!

KAELY (K-2 Visa)

Apr. 6/05... DS-230, Part I faxed to Vancouver Consulate

May 26/05... K-2 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

Sept. 5/05... Entered U.S.

Sept. 7/05... I-485 & I-131 sent to CLB

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

People seem to think that there petitions are actively worked on the entire time they are at the service center. The reality is that they simply sit in a box on a shelf gathering dust. One day maybe 2-5 mos. after submission someone actually looks at it.

i agree too. it just sometimes it feels so unfair knowing that u see touches on some filers that seem we filed first before them... i hope they have rules about this issues too as they have rules for all filers. thanks for the reply.

i agree with u thats why im feel frustrated about this, since my previous petition before didnt tae this slow... hope they inplant rules as they give us rules too. too unfair that some get touched already that we even filed before them.

I remember I called the Service Center twice in one week for my K1 as mine wasnt moving...........it did the trick as I recieved my NOA2 a few days later...........so yes call them :)

K-1 Filling:

12/9/2005 - I129F submitted

02/11/2005 NOA2 APPROVED Wohooooo!!!!

07/11/2005 Received by NVC - on way to Consulate!! yeah!!

07/11/2005 Applied for Police Certificate

15/11/2005 Police Clearance Cert Arrived

17/11/2005 Received at Consulate

30/11/2005 Medical at Edinburgh Nuffield Screening Center

03/12/2005 Packet 3 Received from Consulate!! Yipee!!

08/12/2005 X-Ray and Medical Results delivered by Courier

09/12/2005 Packet 3 Sent back to Consulate

20/12/2005 National Police Certificate Arrives! *(TIP: it takes FULL 40 days to arrive, so apply early!)*

09/01/2006 Visa Interview date - (cant make it, asked for another date)

30/01/2006 Visa Interview - VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

02/02/2006 FLY TO NEW YORK TO BE WITH MY BABY!!! WOHOOOOOO!!! so happy!

27/03/2006 Wedding !!!!!!!!!!!!

AOS & EAD Filling:

03/03/2006 Social Security Card Arrives weeeee!!

29/03/2006 AOS Journey begins - gathering paperwork to send off next week!

24/04/2006 Vaccinations: Diptheria and Vaccination Supplement form obtained

27/04/2006 AOS & EAD sent off to Chicago finally!!! weee!!!

03/05/2006 NOA for AOS & EAD recieved!

22/05/2006 Biometrics Completed :) - for AOS & EAD

18/01/2007 EAD Approved YaY!!

06/02/2007 AOS Interview - Pending once we submit tax form 05 & prior emails/

26/02/2008 2nd AOS Interview - Green Card Approved :)

17/04/2008 "Card Production ordered email'

18/04/2008 'Welcome to America Letter'

25/04/2008 GREEN CARD ARRIVES! 10 Year Green Card!

some people never get any touches and one day, POP!!! surprised with the NOA2. I hope , you will experience like that. NOA2 is the important thing than touches.

thank u gela, i really hope for that, its been awhile after the we filed the K1 yet no response given, i hope even it dont show touch on our case the first update we will get is the NOA2, what if its touched after 4 or 5 months of sending it, oh boy i gonna get piss then.. i was petitioned before and it after 2 months i got approval already from the US embassy... i really wish for the speed.. hope i get some update soon...
