Hi everybody! We are new in this board, but we were waiting for AOS interview longer then anybody we can see here. We entered on K-1 and K-2 in July 2003, married (L) in Sept. 2003 and sent AOS to Miami in Oct. 2003. Since then we are waiting and waiting... I applyed for my 3rd EAD, and it will expire at the end of 2006. :help:

Does anybody have a similar experience? We went 6 times to Miami through infopass, but every time they come with some excuse: our case is here and there, and they sending a message to expedite the case, but :( nothing changes.

Please, any ideas about this and if anybody is the similar victim of these type of tactics?

You have my sympathies - my wait has only been since July 2004 (and I am still waiting). Have you contacted your Congressman? His office should be able to find out why the delays and possibly shake something loose. Good luck.

Yes, the only option is your Congressman/woman. They are normally pretty good about assisting in immigration cases. Good luck!

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

1/13/06 TSC rec'd

1/23/06 NOA1 from CSC

1/27/06 - Check cleared

7/10/06 - NOA2

7/14/06- rec'd @ NVC

8/14/06- NVC sent petition to Consulate

8/17/06 - Korean Consulate rec'd Petition

8/23/06 - rec'd packet 3 from Consulate

8/25/06 - sent packet 3 back to Consulate

8/27/06 - got confirmation email from Consulate, they rec'd packet three

8/27/06 - requested interview date via Consulate internet site.

9/1/06 - Checked internet site for interveiw date, it was there

9/25/06 - Interview date - APPROVED

9/28/06 - Visa in Zaeems Hand - YEAHHHHH

1/6/07 - leaving for USA

1/20/07 - Wedding Date

1/20/07 - MARRIED!!!!!

2/10/07 - rec'd certified copy of marriage license

AOS

3/13/07 - AOS package rec'd at Chicago Lockbox

3/20/07 - Rec'd Social Security Card

3/21/07 - Checks Cashed and Case Status online

3/24/07 - NOA1 Rec'd for AOS and EAD

3/27/07 - rec'd Biometrics appt letter - scheduled for 4/20/07 @ 11:00am

4/02/07 - "touched"

4/20/07 - had biometrics appt.

4/21/07 - rec'd letter stating case was transferred to CSC

5/22/07 - rec'd Case Pending at CSC email

6/25/07 - EAD card production ordered

7/7/07 - EAD "touched"

7/7/07 - AOS "touched"

8-6-07 - Rec'd EAD Card in the Mail

5-20-08 - AOS INTERVIEW - APPROVED - PASSPORT STAMPED

7-2-10 - Received 10 year green card in mail

Sorry it is taking so long for you. But I have read that Miami is the second slowest office of them all

If infopass did not work, then a good attorney can help you too besides congressman.

--March 28,2006 Married in Naperville ,Illinois to United States Citizen

--April 5, 2006 Medical examination (I 693)+ Vaccination supplement form completed (chicago)

--April, 18,2006 AOS Package(I 130,I 485, I765)+supporting documents sent (chicago Lock Box)(DAY 1)

--May 1, 2006 BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENTS ( I 765 , I 485) received by mail for May 6, 2006

--May 6, 2006 BIOMETRICS TAKEN BY USCIS in Naperville (Day 19)

--July 21,2006 Initial Interview but waiting for FBI NAME CLEARANCE (Day 92)

--April 25, 2009 Infopass appointment to inquire my case : Result case was approved in June of 2008 but no body bothered to update my file (Day almost 610 )

--June 29 ,2009 10 year green card with date of Perm resident June 2008 received (Day almost 680 since interview )

--July 2011 Citizenship Interview :

-- Nov 2011 Oath Ceremony -US Citizen

Yes, we were working with our Congrassman about a year, in his office they are tired to see us :unsure: .

Maybe try a senator then, it takes them longer to reply, but once they do they can help.

i feel like we will be in the same predicament... we had received our interview notice and when we showed up they didn't have our file.. they said they got it but sent it back... i just started working with my senators office so hopefully they'll help.. if i don't hear something by july either from infopass, i m withdrawing my case and re-applying... i m thinking our file is lost...

Miami's web showing that they now giving AOS interview recieved on Jan. 2005! :angry: We are about a year and half behind! :(

i feel like we will be in the same predicament... we had received our interview notice and when we showed up they didn't have our file.. they said they got it but sent it back... i just started working with my senators office so hopefully they'll help.. if i don't hear something by july either from infopass, i m withdrawing my case and re-applying... i m thinking our file is lost...

Wow, that's terrible! It's really unfair how long some people have to wait. I would definitely talk to your Senator and impress upon them how unacceptable the wait is.
