Another tacky fashion faux-pas

My 9 year old told me about this yeaterday and pointed it out to me while we were shopping.These things are ugly enough and they have accessories to boot.

i used to work as a chef in a restaurant that had an open kitchen where the guests could sit at a bar and watch us cook. anyway i got to talking with one of our customers who's friend invented those.

she made them up for the kids in her neighborhood....then sold the idea to crocs for like $30,000,000

Birkenstock always had those things but without the holes.

They are ugly but they are sooooo comfortable. I love my Crocs and will never give them up!

I was pretty against them until one day I drove about an hour away from home without shoes, forgot to bring some (never wear them unless I have to). So, had to run in a target and buy something cheap, got the cheap-o brand of black crocs. They are actually pretty comfortable and shockingly light. It's kind of fun to walk in them

Having said that, yes they're hideous and I definately wouldn't have given more than my $7 for them

crocs are comfy for work but I don't wear them in the street. I like my birkenstocks better.

I have a pair that are Crocs' beach shoes; don't even look like Crocs really. They are the comfiest shoes I have ever worn and ideal for working in a restaurant (non slip). I've converted everyone there, we've all got them!

Love my birkenstocks! I wear them daily since I am up and down the halls at school, going in and out of classrooms. Birkenstocks will be around long after Crocs go the way of the dinosaurs. Meh, they are good for a quick trip outside in the yard or around the house...however when out and about, or working, I much prefer the support I get from my birkenstocks. FWIW, I have a pair of birkenstocks from 1990 that I'm still wearing...have had them resoled once. Can you do that with Crocs?
