Changing last name during interview

When I submitted my original K-1 and K-3 paperwork, I listed my wife using my last name. At some point before she received her packet, I realized that she was still using a passport with her maiden name. At the USA embassy in Paris, I don't think that they will issue her a passport in her married name, considering that her passport is in her maiden name. I understood that the visa would be isued in the same name that is on the passport.

Did anyone have experience with this sort of thing?

If she wants the visa issued in her married name, she'll need to get a new French Passport in her married name through French government channels. You are correct, the US Embassy in Paris does not issue French Passports to anybody.

They will issue the visa in the name on the passport...

US Embassy in Paris will only issue/re-issue passports to US Citizens

YMMV
