Your I-134 needs to be notarized and also the taxes that you would submit with it.

I was gonna leave it since as usual I'm useless but no one else has answered yet.

I thought you only have to get the I-134 forms notarized, right? And you have to make sure and get 3 copies of those and sign it in front of the notary.

...I haven't heard 'certified' anywhere. I guess that's different than notarized? I mean, our letters from employers, letter from the bank, they're signed by official people but not "certified."

Sorry I'm not really helping :( But I think you're fine if we're only talking about the affidavit of support sort of stuff. Then send a complete copy and all originals of the petition, with all the signatures, and you should be good as far as I know.

January 18th, 2008 - I-129F sent to VSC

January 31st, 2008 - received NOA1, issued Jan. 24 :)

February 24th, 2008 - NOA2; omgwtfbbqlolz

Well as i'm the beneficary not the US sponsor, i dont need to do the I-134. Thought that gets done after you get NOA2.

Birth certificates for you the benificiary must be original or certified copies. Divorce decree if any need to be original or certified copies. Yes I-134 Affidavit of Support after NOA2 has to be notorized which any bank can do for you. Better to be safe than sorry. I lost a little bit of time having to resend certified or notorized copies when the others were rejected. Most things like letters of intent and the like only have to be signed originals. Good luck. I hope all will go fast for you.

Omg I'm sorry  Of course you are, I'm sorry. And you're blatantly the guy too and I knew you were Scottish and she's SC, yeh :P I just...it's been a long week

ANYWAY xD Iain didn't have to get anything certified or notarized me, not with the original petition. I thought you guys were further along than that? Wow...

You don't need to send your birth certificate but she needs to show hers, or all the pages of her passport. You just have to make sure and sign all of your forms and sign your letter of intent and date it, and make enough copies of everything. No 'errand' sort of things to run and have to get yet at this stage except the passport photos. And I had Iain send his passport pages too just to show them the visiting stamps.
