Ever seen how a hurricane can drive a toothpick into wood? Suppose it can do the same with a bee stinger ;)

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I'm not Canadian ;)

Did Lai get any bite? I am sooo raring to go fishing this weekend!

Cool pictures

No, she didn't. I got nothing, either, till just as we were getting ready to go. A fish pulled my line enough to take the bobber just under the water, then let go without even nibbling on the night crawler I had on the hook. Did that four times. The fifth time, it took half the worm...

Some photos from fishing at Laguna Niguel Regional Park last Saturday

Nice photos, Scott! :D I haven't been to that park, but I just Googled it see it's fairly close to us and it looks pretty big. Looks like a beautiful place to spend a weekend afternoon at.

3. What percentage of tropical cyclones spawn tornadoes ?

Almost all tropical cyclones making landfall in the United States spawn at least one tornado, provided enough of the tropical cyclones circulation moves over land. This implies that Gulf coast landfalling tropical cyclones are more likely to produce tornadoes than Atlantic coast tropical cyclones that sideswipe the coastline. The rate at which tropical cyclones produce waterspouts over the ocean is unknown, although Doppler radars have identified many cases where storm cell rotation suggestive of the presence of tornadoes was observed over water

7. What is the largest known outbreak of tropical cyclone tornadoes?

2004's Hurricane Ivan caused an outbreak of 117 tornadoes - with the bulk of the tornadoes on 17 September - which developed over a 3 day period in the United States, including 37 in Virginia, 25 in Georgia, 18 in Florida, 9 in Pennsylvania, 8 in Alabama, 7 in South Carolina, 4 in both Maryland and North Carolina, 3 in West Virginia, and 2 in Maryland. There were 26 tornadoes reported on 15 September, 32 tornadoes on 16 September, 57 tornadoes on 17 September, and 2 tornadoes (in Maryland) on 18 September. At least 8 people were killed and 17 injured by the tornadoes.

Oh yeah. We get lots of those. Even without hurricanes. But I'm used to that, being from Tornado Alley and all. In fact, a bunch of those terminated my wedding celebrations and made my family cry. But this is what memories are made of. :luv::lol:

I used to live in a downstairs basement apartment... I stepped thru the first door ... left the light off... unlocked my kitchen door... stepped .... and turn back to turn on the lights... and ohhhh myyy gosh... there was this huge gigantic spider with a huge swollen stomach.... i grabbed the fly swatter and smush! 50 million baby spiders ran out of her stomach in every different direction in my kitchen!!! :bonk: I was soooooooooo scared!!! and i was beating the floor to pieces and hoping for spider killer spray!
