After I got my Invoice Identification Number from an operator by calling NVC at 1-603-334-0700, I immediately logged on Immigrant Visa Invoice Payment Center in order to pay my bill online. Here are the screenshots as a reference to clear up all the confusion since the online system just starts recently.

1. After I entered my NVC Case Number and IIV, I got an option to which bill to pay. (Note I already paid AOS bill using James's Shortcut)

IV_BILL_1.jpg

2. Now I can input my bank information after IIV has been authenticated.

Thanks for these screenshots Tyrobe, now its visible to us what is payment online looks like. Goodluck to your upcoming interview.

3. Agreed to have a direct withdrawal from my bank.

4. Payment successfully submitted.

5. After I hit "CONTINUE TO RECEIPT", I got this screen.

After I hit "CONTINUE TO RECEIPT" it came up with a screen "Database Error" and completely logged me out of the system. Logging back in it said NOT PAID so I tried again. Same thing happened. Now $800 has been deducted out of my account and none of it is entered as paying my IV bill. No in process, no receipt, no nothing. Now I have to try and get the NVC to refund money they think they couldn't possibly have taken because it came from a system they think isn't up and working yet. Freak accident? Maybe. But it could happen to you. Before urging everyone to go right away to pay their AOS fee and/or IV bill they should know there are risks involved. We still don't have a single confirmation that the NVC themselves has accepted anyone's payment. Those of you whose status online is PAID, please call the NVC and see if they really processed your payment and let us all know.

I paid online the $70 for AOS and it worked fine. Called NVC and it posted fine. However, i then paid $400 IV bill and it says in process for a week now , they took my money but NVC phone said "we did not get any money". What can I do?

That's too bad. I did end up getting my extra $400 back via a cheque in the mail from the treasury department although it took 30 some days. I called the NVC and they gave me the schtick about the online system not being up yet but eventually they had me email a supervisor with screenshots from my online bank statement. It then took about a week for them to get to my email and then another week and a half to two weeks for the supervisor to act on the email. I called after that and was told that my request for a refund was approved and it was in my mailbox about a month after my initial call.

First, I'd wait maybe another week. I know with paper cheques that it can take up to 10 business days to clear and this is virtually the same thing minus the paper. After that, I would suggest you try to get them to let you email a supervisor so they can help with your situation. If you have the Pay.gov ID and tracking number I'm sure that'd help. Also a bank statement showing the money was taken by them will help, too. Good luck!

badspellor, I'm sorry for your experience and am glad that you finally got your money back after a long waiting. I'm currently in a similar situation.

I paid $400 on 6/30/2008 and the online system showed status PAID on 7/1/08 and the money came out from my bank that morning. Therefore I printed off the cover sheet and mailed the document in. Now NVC received the document but claimed the IV fee wasn't paid yet and sending document early will delay my process. I called operator and was told that he could see $400 payment received but somehow the payment wasn't applied to the case. He said he would request to look at this issue and will have something in 10 to 15 business days. I am curious two things:

1. Will the money I paid in the end connect to my case? I can provide the online payment receipt with trans ID and PAID status. Also I have bank statement.

2. Will that significantly delay my case? The reason I asked is that online system accepted my father's payment just fine and had problem with my mother's payment. I hope that their cases don't run out of sync.

Thank you very much for any hints or lights anybody can shed on.

Good Luck to you all!

I did the same thing payed the IV bill online on 07/07, on 07/08 it shows paid on the receipt tab but "NOT PAID" on the invoice tab. The money is deducted from my checking account. I called NVC a couple time since 07/08 and still their system shows as unpaid. I was able to print the DS230 barcode cover sheet and i did send the package but now I am worried the package will not be processed timely.

Any one had similar issue and was able to solve it please help.

thanks

It's nice that you noticed that the invoice said "UNPAID". Somehow I thought I saw PAID for both invoice and receipt. Anyhow now the invoice page is UNPAID. I didn't know the payment wasn't connected until they received my parents DS-230 (in one big envelope) and the status in the voice system for both my parents are different. I guess we just have to patiently wait and see what they can do for us. BTW, what did operator tell you about this?

Call the NVC and be persistant with Operator (try a different one if it does not work) but they will their supervisor who will in turn call the right Department in NVC and will get it fix for you.

Good luck

So is your problem already fixed? I called twice, last Wednesday and this morning, both times was told that I need to wait 10 to 15 business days. Our case have been in NVC since middle April and I'm slowly losing patience.

Mine Was fixed today and now it shows paid in both invoice and receipt tabs. Just called again and they said it shows paid in their system too, just waiting for them to change the AVR message and complete the case.
