I was denied entry twice- I wrote both denials on my forms and I was asked about them at my K3 interview. It didn't seem to be a big deal to the interviewer- when I told him it was "lack of ties to Canada", he giggled and said "yup, it happens often." I got my visa.

On which forms did you wrote about the entry denials? I just can't seem to find the form that asks that question. On DS-156- Question No. 31. asks if you have been refused a visa. But, is there a question about refused entry at the POE in another form?

Does anyone know if there is a problem applying for a B1/B2 in the middle of a 129F K1 Application? With the long and unpredictable times coming out of CSC, I would like to try to get her a B1/B2 out of the Manila Embassy to visit for a while while waiting for the K1. What is the process for processing a B1/B2? Does it still have to go through the same channels??? Time for a B1/B2?? ANy help would be appreciated!

There is no problem applying for a B1/B2 while K-1 is being processed, but who knows what the outcome of the application could be.

I applies for a B1/B2 last november, you can read about my experience here:Tourist Visa Granted.

That is where I wrote it- I also attached a separate sheet to explain both denials. The way I understood the question is that B2 is a visa, so technically I was denied one.

OK, I understand. You are right, B2 is a visa. The way I see it, is that you were not denied a visa, you were denied entry. But its good that you were completely honest about denied entries too.

I also wanted to ask you.. Do you need a B-2 if you are a canadian citizen? I thought you guys did not need a tourist visa to come to the U. S.?

All Canadian Airports have U.S. Customs so we clear Customs before we get on the plane. You wait in line, go up to one of the kiosks, give him the declaration card you have to fill out, the customs guy asks a few questions and stamps your passport with a B2 stamp and off you go.

I understand better now! So definitely, you had to list those prior entry denials, because you were denied to receive the visa (B-2 stamp).

Thank you for explaining that :)

Does anybody know if you have to list a student visa denial from the U.K. when applying now for a cr-1 visa?

You need to list ALL past visa denials.

Can you please be so kind and tell me what form and question # does it ask this? I read on form ds-156 #31 it asks " Have you ever been refused a U.S. visa?" Where will we be asked this question about being refused any visa? Thanks so much :star:

A U.S. Visa = United States Visa. A student visa is a United States Visa.

Im sorry i meant he applied for student visa to the U.K. Meaning he was gonna go to school in the U.K. They gave him an appeal application but he never filled it out and just forgot about it. His father wanted him to go to school there but he wanted to stay in his country. He never told his father about the appeal letter. This was over 4 years ago.

Question: Does this have to be mentioned on any applications for the cr-1 visa?

No, they are asking you to list refusals of U.S. visas only. Approval or refusals of visas from other countries are irrelevant.

Does anyone know if the opposite is true? Will a K-1 denial affect the validity of a Visitor visa? I am just worse casing my current situation here.

I highly doubt it.
