Today we got a rejection notice for AOS package sent 2 weeks back. Its 'cos of a silly mistake the check date was mentioned xx.xx.2007. They have sent us all the forms and supporting documents I sent as the AOS package.

Now when I resubmit, can I use the same forms, 'cos they have printed some date/data on all the pages.

Anything else needs to be changed (in I485, I131, I765 and I864) after getting rejected for the 1st time?

I do not want to get rejected for the 2nd time.

I would just replace the check with a single properly dated check for $1010 made out to Dept. of Homeland Security.

We are in a similar situation. At least with your rejection, they gave you the root cause of the rejection. On our rejection, USCIS only stated that our check amount was incorrect.

We found out after speaking with an officer that the root cause of our packet rejection was that we mistakingly put my wife's B-day as 2008. This meant that she would not be in the age bracket of paying the $80 biometric fee (so the check should have been written for $930 instead of $1010). Let me add that her B-day is in October, so she would not have even been born yet

Lucky for you they only waited two weeks to send it back. They waited four weeks before deciding to send ours back...

Good Luck and Positive Thoughts your way!
