Travel within US

Hello everyone!

A question came up - my I-94 is due to expire on May 29th.

We are set to get married on the 27th of April. As soon as we get the certificate we'll file the AOS paperwork.

If I need to travel (within the US) what identification would be sufficient for the authorities if we get stopped or such? Will they have a problem with my expired I-94?

I do also have a current INTERNATIONAL driver's license.

Thanks!

AOS

So just carrying a passport is sufficient then? Would carrying just an International DL for out of state travel be OK then?

I'm just trying to figure out the minimum amount of documents I'd need to carry around..

I would carry the passport and the Driver's license. Make sure if flying, your ticket matches your maiden name.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

That assumes they visa holder has never previously been married and therefore has never previously changed there name.... The ticket should match the name on the ID that will be used.

YMMV
