Did you bring another I-693 and employment letter to your interview?

Hi, all:

I'm trying to be ready for my interview in Louisville KY next Wednesday.

From reading some posts, I remember that some people were requested to submit I-693 (affidavit of support) during or after their interviews. The instruction on my NOA tells me to bring it with me "unless already submitted." I did include it in my application packet. I do plan to bring a photocopy of the original I-693 and employment letter that I submitted, my hubby's pay stubs for the past 2 months, and the evidence of joint tax return that we got this year. Should we still fill out another I-693, have it notarized, and bring it with us just in case an officer decided to want it regardless of the instruction?

I would appreciate your advice based on your experiences.

Oh, also, does anyone know any inexpensive hotel around the Louisville office? We live in Lexington, our appointment is 8 a.m., and we are wondering if we should be in Louisville on the previous night.

Thanks!

You don't need to bring a new Affidavit of Support unless your situation has materially changed or you want to remove a co-sponsor.

I'd bring a current employment letter (not just a copy of the letter you filed when you applied) and recent paystubs. If you did 2005 taxes after applying, I'd bring these too.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

My question is, do you have to bring another I 693A (vaccination supplement) to the interview? I sent one in with the AOS Forms and that was only 6 months ago, then they also have the medical which was done about 11 months ago. I don't understand why you have to go to the doctor all the time and pay 85 Dollars for a stupit sheet of paper that I could easily fill out myself.

Removal of Conditions Timeline:

03/19/2008 - package sent to TSC, let's hope for the best

03/20/2008 - check cashed

03/26/2008 - case sent to Vermont Service Center

04/17/2008 - Biometrics scheduled

05/19/2008 - received I551 extension stamp via INFOPASS

02/12/2009 - APPROVED

02/21/2009 - GC received...no mistakes...valid until 2019

I thought the I-693 was the vaccination supplement? The I-864 is the affidavit of support.

The I-693 is actually the form for the full medical.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
