Hi all,

I read threads about letter of intent. our lawyer did not send in that letter anyways. we got an approval last march 19th for our I-129F petition. its been more than 2 weeks and i was shocked to know that our file was still in CSC. They said it would take maximum a month to process before forwarding it to NVC, do you guys think its caused the absence of letter of intent to marry? Any other guess, could u pls analyse?

Pls reply, i am so worried :(

I am in the same situation. Our file hasn't left CSC yet; I've been calling NVC, and they don't have it yet.

My noa2 date was on th 26th, just a few days after you.

Hi, if you will search on here for this topic you will find alot of info on it and numerous threads. CSC ships once a month to NVC. They do that because its cross country shipping and they have a crate that they wait to fill up before sending. A lot of us waited about a month to get to NVC from CSC.

Vermont however is very close to NVC so they send every few days.

The letter of intent is really not significant for most cases, its an additional proof of relationship but not a critical one. I wouldn't attribute any delay to the inclusion or exclusion of that. Good Luck

Well, I would not say the letter of intent is not a requirement because the instructions on the I-129F say it is a requirement.

However, I don't think the lack of the letter of intent has anything to do with your case still being at the CSC. As others have said, it usually takes 1 month from CSC to the NVC.

*nods* this kind of wait seems to be typical of CSC, however, I would suggest that you make sure to provide updated letters of intent for the interview to cover all bases.

The petition was approved. The missing letter of intent is not the issue it's help up so please don't worry about it. Some adjuticators are just more particular than others. As stated above, you will want to have a new original letter of intent dated sometime after the NOA2 to have available for the interview.

The case is held up because CSC holds newly approved petitions until there are enough to send a large shipment. If you look around VJ you'll find people who have waited more than 60 days!

Yes, it's very wrong and grossly mismanaged in comparisson to VSC but it's nothing new and no reason for concern.

The answer is simple. They lie!

They probably do attempt to process close to the order they're received but can you imagine processing the amount of files they get by month, date, year and making sure they're processed EXACTLY in order? You certainly can't base your expectations or emotions on that statement.

The fact that you know for sure that other couples approved at the same time you were is a plus. It's very possible your file was just under that other couple's and that you'll be getting the info you need soon. Try to be patient just a little while longer. :)
