NVC phone lines always busy!

i've been trying to get in touch with the NVC over the phone for the past few weeks but no luck... I was hoping to speak to an operator, because whenever I email I just get the form-letter answers a few days later with no real info. is anyone else having this problem? is there a particular time of day that is best to call?

Try phoning late at night. The phone lines are open till 1200 (midnight) or after six. Worked for us.

Early morning and in the evening is when I have had more luck getting a live person. When I emailed them it took exactly one week for them to answer.

My petition was approved on 4-25-2006. I receieved the hard copy of NOA2 yesterday. Today I called NVC to see if they have received my approval petition, they told me my notice date is recently, case is not there yet. Have anyone here who got approved last week from CSC called the NVC?

I always got through the operator with minimal waiting time early mornings or late nights.

Our NOA2 was 4/17 and the NVS doesn't show it in the system yet. I sent an email yesterday but hadn't had a response, so I called this morning in the car, about 8:30, and got an operator within 2 minutes. He was nice too, just couldn't tell me anything. Sigh.

I've experienced difficulties getting through as well. I usually hang up and call again, press promt 1 and 5 and if it doesn't tell me my wait time is less than 3 minutes, I hang up and call back again until I get on queue.

Yes Bill i have called them,they told me that it could take 2-4 weeks for them to receive a case from CSC, then a further 2 weeks for the consulate to receive it from them

Thanks for telling about your call to NVC today. I was about to call them. but since I got your message, I will try to ring them tomorrow. Please, update me with your status. and I'll do the same. we all got approve on the same day.

It takes about 2 - 3 weeks for case transfers from CSC to NVC.
