I understand the photos must be in color and 2" x 2" (5 cm v 5 cm). Correct? Anyone get a RFE because of photos sizes etc? Is the NVC fussy about the photos?

I don't really know. I sent the Ja standard passport pics. Did not measure them or check the NVC specs and did not get a RFE. Good luck

I have a feeling that they probably are. The Fed is a stickler for rules.

Your best bet - is to go to a reputable photo place, and tell them you need a photo for a US Visa (if abroad. They should know EXACTLY what you need. If they don't, then go somewhere else) - or - go to any photo place in the USA and ask them for passport photos. Just about anywhere has a computer with the templates for printing.

I've got professional photo gear here, *BETTER* than what the photo place uses - but - I didn't take any chances. I had the people who do it everyday do my pictures.

The moral of my story: Stick with someone who matches your own culture.

( This coming from an Arab who married an Arab from overseas... go figure. )

I wouldnt say that they are fussy. i think its ok if u send them pictures bigger than 2 ' x 2 ' ..they wont complain... maybe they wont accept smaller ..And yes they should be color..white background ..etc

I sent them pictures much bigger than 2 " x 2 " ....(plus my daughter pictures was a bit blurry but i sent it anyway.).. because i didnt have others at the moment.. and NVC accepted them..

Good luck

It gave exact directions on what they wanted for a photo. Why would you deviate from what they requested? You are optimistic to take a chance on submitting anything different then what they request.

You will probably get an RFE, because that is just the type of negativity you will attract to yourself.
