Well I just got some details from my local surgery about the HPV vaccine. They charge £140 per shot of Gardasil. I thought it was £140 for the three at first and nearly fell of my seat when she said no it was for each shot.

when filling out the form for the police certificate and it asks for address. of the last five years. well what if you have lived at that address offically for that time but also at other addresses officially during that time for university?

or do you not need to do that because it will come up on their systems anyhow?

I just phoned Knightsbridge to see if you have to have started the course of HPV and they said yes :( .....the second dose is recommended two months after the first and then about 6 months later.

I'm assuming this is for your daughter as you won't need it.

I think that what they told you is a money making ruse on their behalf.

vaccinations are not required for K1 they are required for AoS and you do not have to complete a course before AoS only start it

this is what the advice for civil surgeons says

3. For a person who has had no vaccines or whose vaccines are not up to date, do all doses of the required vaccines need to be given?

Because completion of the vaccine series often requires several months, applicants are not required to have received all doses of the ACIP-recommended vaccines to fulfill the vaccination requirements for adjustment of status to U.S. permanent residence. Rather, applicants are required to have received at least one dose of each vaccine and are encouraged to follow up with a primary health-care provider to complete the series once they are in the United States.

this is a link to the website

http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dq/civil_ti_vacc_2008_two.htm

from that you can probably wait till you get to the US where the vaccine is a bit cheaper.

here is the link to the adolescent recommended vaccines http://www.immunize.org/catg.d/p2010.pdf

Thanks...I did think that my daughter would be able to wait until we are in NC for the HPV, they get it in school there...but I asked and the lady on the phone specifically said they will not pass our medical if we do not have the required vaccinations. I hope you are right, well, I can see it is true for others. I will take a chance I think as its just too expensive right now. Thanks again for the info :)

Hi everyone

I am having a very difficult time with the British Police Certificate.

1. I need to get a 35 pound money order in Japan to pay for the certificate. I can't seem to find a way to pay appropriately from here. I don't know anyone in England. Any suggestions out there?

2. My fiancee (Japanese) lived in England for 5 years over 10 years ago. Her old passport was used. Is that ok? Would they be able to find her information even in the case that perhaps the passport info is old?

Thanks for you help!
