Hep A/B or not

Well i read a tread saying that canadians dont need the hep A/B vaccin as it isnt a requirement...

is it true?? somebody knows if its truly really true loll?

This particular site lists Hep B as required by 18 and younger.

Are you talking about USCIS recommendations OR Canadian government recommendations for Canadians? USCIS holds everyone to the same vaccination standards regardless of country. Differences in recommendations may be due to the age of the immigrant.

Vaccination Requirements

United States immigration law requires immigrant visa applicants to obtain certain vaccinations prior to the issuance of an immigrant visa. Panel physicians who conduct medical examinations of immigrant visa applicants are required to verify that immigrant visa applicants have met the vaccination requirements. See IV Vaccination Requirements for the list of required vaccinations and additional information.

As a fiancé(e), you are not required to fulfill this requirement at the time of your medical examination for a fiancé(e) visa. However, you may want to do so. These vaccinations are required when you adjust status following your marriage.

LadyNoles, which consulate are you going through? You can always email them to find out. I've heard that even as a K1 filer we need vaccines here in Canada. I've emailed Vancouver but they haven't gotten back to me yet. When I called to make my appointment she didn't mention Hep B which I know that I'm not immune to. I never had the vaccination obviously. The panel physician should be able to tell you.

The Hep vaccination depends on age. I didn't have it. Remember that Gardysil new information as well. That pertains to age as well. So really in essence, ALL the consulates and embassy's are NOT the same.
